They made my bday absolutely amazing!!!
I didn’t catch our servers names butbtheybwere so sweet! I had called a few days in advance to ask if they took reservations for a group of 8 and I said it’s for my bday and they said happy bday. They accommodated that our party ended up being only 5 people. They were knowledgeable and helpful when suggesting dishes.
We ordered the Appetizer Sampler and Chicken Poppers for appetizers.
Chicken Sisig, Veggie Kare-Kare, Lechon Kawali, and Pancit Canton. We chose garlic fried rice for all (so good).
We loved all the dishes and the flavors were pronounced and the food wasn’t overly salty.
The Lechon was quite fatty and I think the pork lumpia were a bit spicy but overall very good!
They even surprised me w/ a birthday song on the speaker and their ube cake w/ a candle. The entire restaurant sang to me and it was so sweet. I felt really special w/ a full tummy! Definitely will be back here to try their other dishes – especially the Halo-Halo dessert!

I LOVE PATOK BY RACH. My little family and I have been coming here once a year for the last couple of years when we come up to Inwood from the Upper West Side. It’s one of our favorite places in Inwood, and actually, in all of NYC! It’s delicious modern Filipino food in a fun, casual setting. I love the loft setup here. When I first stepped in here several years ago, I just fell in love with the big tree in the middle of the restaurant. It gives the place such a great, happy vibe! The first time we came, it was for lunch. We ended with the halo halo, my toddler-age daughter’s favorite!

I loved Patok so much that when it came time to plan a milestone birthday party for myself, they were on my short list for birthday dinner party venues. After reaching out to several restaurants I liked, Patok by Rach by far gave the quickest and friendliest responses; their prices were also nearly like robbery. They were super flexible when it came to timing of the event, dietary restrictions of my guests; item swap-outs for the kamayan feast I requested. I am a pretty detail oriented person (and thus, I have self-awareness that I can be annoying with all my minute questions :D), but Joyce, their catering manager, was so patient and kind, answering ALL of my questions and then some with grace, kindness, and warmth. I ended up choosing to have a private event where it was just my party at the restaurant that evening, so it was really intimate and lovely. They even thought about little details like allowing us to come early to decorate, and even suggesting karaoke to end the evening! They were also accommodating when I asked if they could help take photos and videos for me at key moments of the evening (and they’re very good at photo and video taking!!). They made everything so smooth and seamless that it was like working with family as opposed to professionals I’d actually never met in person before! Once our meal was done, they proactively gave takeout boxes to all my guests so that they could take their leftover food home, which I loved — I hate food waste, and I appreciated this gesture so much without asking!!

My guests, who at this point hadn’t had much Filipino food, raved endlessly about the food. They loved how gorgeous, festive, and delicious the kamayan setup was. While all the food was complimented, I think that the favorites of the evening were definitely the lechon (how could anyone NOT love it? The skin was so crispy and perfect!), the chicken inasal, and the fish sisig (which I specifically asked as a swap-in to vary up the proteins for the meat eaters in my crowd). The shrimp chips laid out on the banana leaves were so light, airy, and crispy that they must have been just freshly fried – what a treat! I had friends who had calamansi juice for the first time and fell in love. I also had a number of guests who said the service was top notch and attentive; they asked me how I even found this place to begin with! Some hesitated about the location (I had a lot of friends commuting from Brooklyn), but when they experienced the food and service, they said they understood a thousand percent why I chose this place for my birthday party.

We also ordered their ube cake as my main birthday cake, and the leche flan as a second dessert to round out the evening (you can never have too many desserts at a birthday!). My friends loved how creamy and rich the ube cake was, and the lechon flan was also delicious.

I am so thankful I found Patok by Rach and got to experience the fun and joy of working with their restaurant manager Joyce, who is truly a gem and makes event planning seem too easy! My heart was swelling by the end of the evening. I am very much looking forward to singing their praises to everyone I know and coming back here later this year when I’m up in Inwood. Everyone needs to experience the warmth, hospitality, and deliciousness that is Patok by Rach.

Good filipino spot up in inwood, just 2 blocks from 1 train stop. Just the app sampler was enough for a meal, great lumpias and chicharron. Need to come back for the sisig and kamayan platters.

They helped as onsite catering for a 300+ person private event and were part of a Little Manila food court area of the event. They were amazing to work with. Food was a hit. Lechon with soy vinegar done in a cute way as was the lumpia Shanghai. Very simple and elegant Pinoy food. Our guests loved it. Thank you so much to the Patok by Rach team. You made the event special.

Just had an unbelievable kamayan experience – I’d recommend to ANYONE!! My friend booked it for her birthday and I was new to Filipino food but I will be here again so soon. You have to have the roast chicken, pork, lumpia, and the halo-halo !

Really good food!

Tried Patok by Rach in Inwood and honestly, it hits the spot if you’re craving Filipino food. The lechon kawali was super crispy and juicy, just how it should be. Loved the pork lumpia too — perfectly crunchy and flavorful.

Place has a chill vibe, very homey. Staff was nice!!! Overall, really good spot for comfort food that feels close to home. Will definitely be back.

My mother-in-law and nephew got me a gift card from here for my birthday because they know how much I love eating here! I always order takeout and never had the chance to dine in the restaurant. My family and I finally went out on a late Wednesday afternoon and we were warmly welcomed by Rachel. As we sat down, we immediately ordered the Appetizer sampler that had a little but of every appetizer on the menu. The lumpia was fresh, chicken fritters were tasty and the chicharron was very meaty. Shortly after, we ordered our entrees. We initially wanted the Barkada box which we thought was a great deal for sharing. But we opted to order several entrees and shared everything family style. Up next was the chicken adobo, Lechon, Pancit Bam-i, and. Bangus (milkfish). When I tell you, EVERYTHING TOUCHED MY SOUL!!! You can tell that every dish was put together with love. From the taste to the presentation, it was amazing. To end our visit, we couldn’t leave without the star of the show, the Halo Halo. This dessert always takes be back home to the Philippines. Rachel took some time to chat with us and share each other’s backgrounds. It’s amazing how Filipino food is impacting the food scene and we will continue to support Patok by Rach as the food is great and perfect portion and value for the money. If you haven’t tried Filipino food yet, this place is a great way to get introduced!
