WOW !!!!!! Came 10 minutes before closing to grab a cake and some pastries for a celebration at home and we were completely blown away by everything. I’ve tasted many sweets in my life but these were seriously out of this world. The customer service was top notch too, they took the time to explain each pastry too. I will most definitely be coming back here often! We got the cheesecake, Mont Blanc, strawberry cream cake, and the black sesame puff. Wow seriously.

Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Parking is kind of awkward to get into.
The pecan pie bites are fantastic. They’re not sweet at all compared to typical ones, which are always too sweet. They were a little dry, though.
The chocolate tart was excellent – nice crispy ball thing on top, and not too sweet.
The fruit tart was okay – nothing special.
Overall, a little expensive, but nice as a gift or treat.

This is a magnificent slice of a Japanese Patisserie, born from the French art of pastry making with a Japanese twist. You will find many of these types of pastry stores in Japan so consider us lucky to have a quality store like this in LA. The pastries and cookies, however, are no match for the level of service and respect the workers of this store have for their patrons and product alike. Meticulous attention to detail and the whole experience of enjoying their pastries. Keep up the great work Chantilly!!

One of those places that you want to gatekeep but also want them to have a thriving business. Their pastries are made with the highest quality and served with the highest care. Everyone comes for the wonderful black sesame choux à la crème and it is worth the visit. Be warned they do run out very quickly due to the small batches they make and the popularity of it; the limited batches made confirms the effort that is put into each.
I would say the black sesame eclair is a wonderful alternative or even preferred if you like everything about the choux pastry version but also chocolate.
The little cakes are beautiful and delicious as well.

This is one of my favorite pastry’s in LA. It has very beautiful deserts and bakeries. I have been here more than 5 times and their service is so nice and patient. Highly recommend Rochelle and grapefruit gelee (if you like the very original taste of grapefruit ).

All the cakes are mouthwatering. They are not so sweet. You will not feel overwhelmed by sugar.
There are two problems with this store: the first one is they do not accept card payments below 10 dollar; the second one, cakes finish early.
Chantilly cheese cake is my favorite.

I don’t know why it took me so long to try this incredible Japanese bakery, but so glad we did! Tucked in a small shopping center in Lomita, they are open for takeout only. They pride themselves on the freshness of their fare, even to the point to ask each customer whether they will be driving more than 30 minutes, and offering to put the order on ice. The cream puffs are made fresh to order in three delicious flavors: vanilla Chantilly cream, chocolate, and black sesame (amazing!). The choux pastry is light and crisp. Making a matcha version seems like a natural variation, and I’ll have to ask about that next time I’m in. We also tried the chestnut coffee roll cake, the matcha layer cake, the chocolate ganache tart, and white chocolate-dipped matcha sables. All of which I would purchase again! They have excellent flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. You really can’t go wrong, and next time I’m asked to bring dessert to a group dinner, I’m stopping at Chantilly first!

Our all time favorite pastry shop in LA since it opened about 13 years ago. Consistent quality and taste. I fell in love with Chantilly when I tasted the fruit tart and strawberry shortcake 12 years ago. The strawberry slices on top of the cake and between the layers are always fresh (whereas other shops’ are overripe or spoiled, even in high end restaurants). The whip cream and custard used in the cakes were always fresh, light and not too sweet, just enough to highlight the freshness of the key ingredients. Their cream puffs (Sesame cream) are the excellent. Make sure you try the seasonal cakes. Kids who don’t like grapefruit will love the grapefruit jelly offered only in summer.

Choux aux Sesame is out of this world! The chocolate Rochelle is very good, too.
We enjoyed them with a pot of Lavender Earl Gray, such a wonderful afternoon tea,… like a little taste of Paris in Torrance!

As far out of the way it is for me, I love this little pastry shop.be warned, their cakes do melt so get an ice box or eat immediately. Really cute and small, best to share with your friends and you all can sample different cakes without feeling guilty.
