The service is what truly made the experience stand out. Our bartender, Berlin, was amazing. She was attentive without being overbearing, super helpful, and genuinely friendly. She knew the menu well, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything was taken care of while still keeping things fun and easygoing. You can tell she really cares about creating a great experience for her guests, and that kind of service makes a huge difference.
Between the welcoming vibe, the comfortable atmosphere, and standout service, Pizza Patio Bar & Grill is absolutely a place I’d recommend. It’s the kind of spot you leave already thinking about when you’ll come back.
Inside, there’s another bar area with TVs and an impressive selection of drinks, so whether you’re looking for a chill outdoor night or a more traditional bar feel, they’ve got both covered.
The pizza is absolutely top tier. They have about 10 specialty pizza options, all made with fresh, quality ingredients. You can tell they take pride in their dough and toppings. My favorite was the meatball and ricotta pizza, perfectly balanced flavors, with creamy ricotta and savory, tender meatballs.
If you’re in Fort Lauderdale and looking for a spot that has great vibes, great pizza, and a great crowd, Patio Bar and Pizza is a must visit.
Unfortunately, the experience at the bar was strange and disappointing. I ordered an Old Fashioned and my wife ordered a prickly pear margarita. He made her margarita but told me twice that I was going to have to wait for my drink, and not in a friendly way. After about 10 minutes, he told me he was out of Woodford Reserve bourbon while there was a brand new full bottle sitting right behind him.
When I finally received the Old Fashioned, it was great. I ordered two more because he clearly knew how to make it well. I even asked him what the issue was with making it since he made it perfectly. His response was that “I needed to learn the temperature” of the room, basically implying I should order a simpler drink because he was busy.
It is always shocking when someone chooses to work in hospitality and their initial interaction with customers is to be rude. In all my years, I have never had such a bizarre interaction with a bartender. It was rude, surprising, and almost comical.
Ultimately, I still tipped well, hoping the tip is shared with the friendly ladies making the pizza, the welcoming staff at the entrance, and the other team members who were genuinely pleasant.
The food is excellent, but staff interactions like that can easily ruin what could otherwise be a great spot. What a shame.
Love the outside area which is very pet friendly. A great place to watch a game or just relax on a Sunday afternoon. Service was wonderful.
BDAR! 🙂
