After reading the Google reviews, I knew we needed to try this spot. I didn’t read closely enough though because we wanted to dine in and found that it would be 1.5 hours for most dishes to be ready because they’re so popular with takeout orders. Luckily, they said there were a few dishes they could make quickly to us, so we got those.
My husband and I shared:
– Moo Krup (Pork Belly)
– Chicken Satay
– Crying Tiger
– Roti (dessert)
While we didn’t have many options of what we could get, everything was fantastic. The Crying Tiger was my favorite. The way it was marinated was delicious. It was also hands down the best preparation of Roti I’ve ever had.
You’ll find Thai dishes here that you’re unlikely to find many other places in the US. This is such a gem that I wouldn’t expect to find in a small mountain town. I’ll definitely be back and make sure to place my order ahead of time next time.

We were in town for the weekend and saw the vast reviews for this spot! It’s a little “hole in the wall” attached to a vitamin shop. Everyone was so friendly. It was clean and welcoming! We had THE BEST Thai food I have ever had. You can taste the authenticity, and the owner was right there in the kitchen cooking it all up fresh. If you want some exceptional food, do not sleep on this spot!

Patcharees’s was such an unexpected treat. We ordered the Crying tiger and the Khao Kha Moo. Both were so delicious. Best Thai food I’ve had. Very surprising since in such a small town. The Khao was crazy spicy but couldn’t stop eating it. Highly recommended.

Our 2nd time getting food from there. We took a drive from Grand Junction to Gunnison for New Years Eve day. A gorgeous balmy winter day. It was also our 12th wedding anniversary. Their food is worth the 2.25 hour drive. Texted my order in the morning, and we picked it up at 1pm. It was 42 degrees and sunny. Grabbed a picnic table at the local Jorgensen park in town. It was an exceptionally mild day for Gunnison in the winter.
The first time we ate their food was in November 2023, while we were working the Sugar Plum Christmas festival. A local couple shopping at our booth told us about Patcharees when we mentioned we love Thai food.
Ordering is easy. The menu is fantastic. We had the dish with pork and collard greens on both visits. It was a popular pick with the most flavorful red sauce I’ve ever had. And I make sauces…Pad Thai, Panang curry are full of flavors we thoroughly enjoyed.

Unassuming- but delicious authentic food!
In the same building as a vitamin shop and grocery store. The green curry we ordered was easily enough for 3 people. (With an extra side of jasmine rice). Wish we lived closer, so I could come every week.

Everything is so fresh, flavorful, and generous on the portions. Also worth mentioning, is the amazing customer service that Tracy provides. It is so comforting calling for takeout and picking it up, because she is so helpful and kind.
