Pastrami Express never disappoints. The food is consistently excellent every single time — hot, fresh, and generously portioned. Their pastrami is phenomenal, but their corned beef sandwiches are honestly the best around. Thick-cut, tender, perfectly seasoned, and piled high on fresh bread — exactly how it should be.
You can tell they take pride in what they serve. Everything is flavorful, made right, and delivered just the way you expect. Add in the friendly service and it’s easy to see why this place has such a strong reputation.
If you’re craving a true deli-style sandwich, especially the greatest corned beef sandwich, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

The absolute worst pastrami sandwich and soup I’ve ever had. Pastrami was over cooked and dry. The soup is terrible. I guess if you’re used to pastrami king or Ben’s you shouldn’t try anything else. How anybody eats the stuff is beyond me. If I could give zero stars it would be to good for this food. Never again!!

Really bummed out. First time getting food here in a couple years. Remembered pastrmi was really good. However, today i could not say the same. Pastrami was somewhat tough and not tender…and it didn’t have that strong pastrami flavor like I’m used to. Tasted “water down”. The fries were better than the sandwich smh. Fries are good. Hoping it was an off day. Cost $26 for pastrmi and fries…a little pricey imo.

And his staff is so attentive and friendly!
The food was delicious, great soup, amazing egg cream and the pastrami sandwich was piled HIGH and complimented perfectly by some slaw, sour pickles and a Doctor Browns cream soda or Celray!
Great spot, such a gem.

Had a craving for a juicy pastrami sandwich and it was hard to find a place until we stopped here. They just opened for the day and we saw a bunch of take out orders ready for pickup which means we came to the right spot. In addition to Abe’s Special pastrami sandwiches and the hot dog knish, I ordered a matzo ball soup. The knish was tasty and the hot dog added some good flavor to the inside of the knish. The 3/4 lb pastrami sandwich was great and with the matzo ball soup, I could only finish half. The complementary pickles and the coleslaw were fantastic. The menu wasn’t updated so the sandwiches were a couple dollars extra for dine in service which we didn’t mind.

I cannot cook anymore so I use Pastrami Express all the time . All their food is delicious and made daily. The owners are lovely , people and The store is spotless
Their meats, are first class, but as I get older, I find myself appreciating the best white meat turkey I have ever had. There are many choices on the menu for everyone’s taste. I am not related to them. I’m Just a customer Since they opened and decided, I should let people know about this gem

Best Pastrami I have had in years, and much cheaper than delis in the city. Even though they have signs apologizing for a recent increase in prices. Pastrami is hot and fresh and not fatty, and not at all salty. Employees are friendly. I never thought I would like pastrami that was not Kosher, but boy was I wrong. Very delicious. Don’t forget to ask for sour pickles.

Update* I’ve been back 2x since my last review and the food is consistently delicious I took a friend with me and she loved it. Best pastrami on Long island it’s like butter melts in your mouth. French fries are out of this world, potato pancake with applesauce is a hit and the knish fried is just like the old days crunchy heaven. The Coleslaw is addicting ♀️❤️The deli is right off of 135. It’s an hidden Gem! The Owner Abraham is a great person, very nice and friendly a true gentleman I enjoyed speaking with him. Jenny the server is a rock star! Best server! Check this place out! I had a potato pancake also great flavorful with apple sauce it was recommended by our server Jenny who was so nice and so helpful, I felt like I was in my aunts kitchen. The staff/owners are so warm & welcoming. The Cole slaw was creamy homemade tasting. I highly recommend trying this cozy little place that puts out phenomenal kosher old school deli food and vibes. Fairly priced don’t listen to these people on here saying it’s over priced we were 2 plus a additional sandwich and knish to go and it was $62.00 not bad at all bens is much more money regularly with just us 2. A++++++++Will be back worth the trip from Huntington! A Picture doesn’t do it Justice.

Pastrami sw and fried chicken sw.
Ordered matzo ball soup after 2 mins, was accommodated with no issues.
After about 5 mins more , asked to add perogi, no issues.
Taste:
pastrami was yummy.
The mustard was a super condiment, probably home made, it had the fresh made kick.
Matza: taster said, it was soft and was freshly made.
Perogi: yummy. But needs to be eaten at the table.

What a gem! We dined in and I am glad we did. Don’t judge the outside of the deli. Best service ever. The pastrami, pastrami croquettes, Philly cheese, pastrami dumplings, etc… Homeade cheesecake was amazing. Definitely coming back! ❤️
