Inspired by the farms, vineyards and waters of the Pacific Northwest, we at Pastini are dedicated to serving up two of life’s greatest pleasures… pasta and wine. We love how a steaming bowl of pasta warms your hands as well as your spirits. We love the sound a cork makes when it nudges away from the bottle. Using responsibly sourced ingredients, we craft craveable dishes with a local sensibility that is true to our roots. Our thoughtfully curated wine list celebrates both stellar Northwest wineries, and small family-owned vineyards in Italy. With every meal, we aim to bring our guests together to share made-from-scratch meals that are seasoned with laughter and great wine.

The menu offers a wide selection of familiar Italian dishes, and the restaurant itself is clean and comfortable, making it a reasonable option for families or casual dining. Unfortunately, the execution during this visit fell short. My food arrived lukewarm to cold, which was disappointing and immediately impacted the overall experience. Italian food, especially pasta, really needs to be served hot to be enjoyable, and that wasn’t the case here.
Service was another challenge. Our waitress was polite and clearly doing her best, but she appeared overwhelmed. It felt like she may have been covering too many tables at once, which led to slower attention and a less attentive experience overall. While I don’t fault the staff personally, it did affect the quality of the visit.
Overall, Pastini may work well for those looking for a predictable, casual Italian meal with familiar flavors, especially if expectations are set accordingly. However, based on this visit, it didn’t stand out in terms of food quality or service. With better attention to food temperature and improved staffing or pacing, the experience could be much better. As it stands, it felt more like a dependable chain restaurant than the independent Italian spot it appears to be from the outside.
I especially want to highlight the hostess, Miles, who was absolutely amazing. They were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. Even when our server wasn’t very present throughout the meal, Miles really stepped in and made sure we were taken care of. Their service truly made a difference in our experience.
As for the food, it was good but not exceptional. The pasta itself was solid, but the pasta sauce and the fettuccine sauce served with the garlic bread were more liquidy than saucy, which took away a bit from the overall flavor and texture we were expecting.
That said, between the smooth seating process, reasonable food timing, and especially the outstanding hospitality from Miles, we left feeling satisfied. I’d return and hope for the same level of front-of-house service again!
