Absolutely Incredible Service and Outstanding Presentation of the Food. Beautiful Décor. Very Clean Restroom. The food was nicely presented but too oily. The butternut squash ravioli was flavorful, but dripping with oil, not brown butter sauce as advertised. Service was friendly and very attentive.

We had a terrific dinner tonight with Caleigh as our waitress. She was phenomenal as usual, with all our special requests. I had chicken parmigiana and my husband had the Truffle ravioli which he loves. Their salads are awesome with the amazing homemade focaccia bread was delicious. Definitely great service and will be coming back!

This place has been the toney Italian spot in Mentor for a while. That said I think, although the food is excellent, it is way overpriced. Yes the calamari was tender and not over breaded but it is supposed to be rings not noticeable tentacles and the quantity for 17 is quite small. Also the 3 cheese ravioli was the best I have eaten but 8 pieces is not much for the price. The bread was excellent but they offered no more. Stuffed peppers and shrimp diavolo were also great. Our server was extremely slow as was food service. Sorry it’s not for me. Other places are quite nearly as good and much less pricey. Oh and zero cell service.

Stopped at Pastina by chance while passing through Mentor and was pleasantly surprised with our impromptu decision. My girlfriend and I both ordered pasta dishes and agreed both plates were delicious. My highlight however came from Roger the bartender who took a legitimate interest in my taste in cocktails (bourbon) and steered me towards a twist on a manhattan which I wouldn’t normally order. The drink was divine and he even offered me the build and measurements that he used so that I could recreate it. Truly awesome service and we will absolutely return.

Stumbled upon Pastina while we were in the area and we had an amazing meal! I dont normally rave about Italian food, as I am Italian and have pretty high standards. I got the rigatoni vodka and my fiancé got the bolognese. We both loved our meals. The bread and tomato sauce served before our meals was probably the most delicious thing I’ve had in a while. We also got the beat salad and arancini, both were delicious. I can’t wait to come back and try more items on the menu!

Food was excellent! I am calling that marinara sauce “the magical sauce”.It was so good I had to buy a container of it. Drinks were good,food was hot and fresh. My only complaint about the Zucchini frites is the breading because it fell apart. I don’t know if the breading they use isn’t fine enough but that’s the only thing I would change.

Our food was great and so were the drinks but the service was below bare minimum. We went about 30 minutes from when we got our drinks to when we got our food not getting checked on (i was ready to order another drink and so was my husband). But we saw our waitress going around to all of her other tables checking on people multiple times, having conversations with them and laughing but was practically talking to us as she kept walking and I really don’t think we did or said anything wrong that would have warranted that kind of service. We were pretty much talked to/checked on twice in the whole hour we were there. I also had something fall in my drink (from the ceiling maybe? im still not sure) and the waitress watched me twice try to pick it out of my wine but left both times before I could have said anything. Crummy way to spend Valentine’s Day and we probably won’t to back anytime soon.

They’re back !!! The food was amazing, the service was outstanding, the atmosphere was incredible !! Very glad that the previous visit seems to have been an anomaly and will definitely visit again !!!

Decent food at a high price. Would like to see fresh parmesan cheese instead of the shaker. Cloth napkins go a long way. This used to be one of our favorite places to eat but quality has decreased in the past couple years. The wait staff is on point, however; always very friendly !!
We will be back to try again in hopes the recent visits have been simply a result of recent economics/inflation. We feel no need to abandon Pastina at this point and look forward to another meal.

Great pasta dishes in a restaurant that resembles its rustic Italian name. I got the Chicken Diavolo and it was very good. There is one page of the menu that features what says is daily fresh made pasta…want to try some more of those. Prices are a bit high compared to other Italian places in the area, but portions are pretty good and food seems pretty high quality. Service was great at the bar. Restaurant is pretty large but it was busy and pretty full when I was there on Saturday. Will definitely go back again.
