This is a medium sizedl diner in a New York strip mall. A group of us had breakfast there while attending a wedding at West Point. The food was good and the prices average. $14-$17 for a normal breakfast plate.

We visited the Peekskill, NY Pastels for the past two years while on vacation for just about every breakfast/brunch. Great customer service and the waiters definitely acknowledge their regulars and customers such as us when visiting by the next day. The food is good but this year there seemed to be a little less of portions served as compared to last year. Other than that we always look forward for when we get up to go get breakfast/brunch to come to this place. The bathroom could have been a little bit better since there was very little toilet paper. Overall, I recommend this place.

I came to pastels since 2005 and always had a good breakfast food, diversity and plain of type of pancakes.. no matter what year we went always was good.
On this last 5 years was special for me to go to pastels because now I bring my young son who also enjoy his breakfast every Saturday from the last 5 years.
I recommend to try steak with eggs.
Everyone who works there is so nice, new employees or the formers ones are always nice and ready to help you

The Apple Walnut Chicken Wrap was very good! Service was spot on, attentive, and pleasant. The decor is a little dated but overall it is a great place to get a meal and the pricing is good for the area.

The breakfast there is the ideal and classic NY diner style. The food is always hot, and cooked to perfection, not under seasoned, not over seasoned. Their use of oil and butter is also great, as it is not too greasy but just enough to add texture and be used as a cooking agent. Pancakes are great, and the eggs, bacon and sausage are all great as well. Home fries are what I would consider ideal, not to greasy or over seasoned, but crunchy on the outside and stuff on the inside. The atmosphere is what you would expect at a classic dinette, small and cozy. The aesthetic tastefully combines modern with the 50s “lunch car” decorum. The service is very good and all the waiters/waitresses we’re very attentive and kind. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent service and vibe, easy parking, cozy design, clean, friendly and professional. Food portions are generous and the price is right! Such tasty fries. I loved the staff and my server was helpful, attentive, accurate and sweet. Coffee was not great – would be amazing if they served Vassilaros coffee (often used by diners and so good.) They also had wifi!

I have been going here for years. I wanted to make sure I told everyone this is possibly one of the best places to get a meal and feel like you belong. The food is a classic American Diner but the food, Atmosphere and staff make you feel like your home. Some diners almost rush you out. Here they let you enjoy your food. Take a moment and get a burger or an omelette. You will not be sorry.
