Giuseppe & Vicenza the owners of this gem in Wintersville OH (few minutes from Robinson Township) has the best to offer. From Sicilian Risotto and Polpetti Di Carne/Homemade meatballs your month will water for days just thinking about this fabulous place and tasty Menu. From the servers, the kitchen crew and the owners with their children coming to your table to say “Ciao” is a trip to Italy/Sicily without a passport. The ambiance and attention to detail of the fabulous patio and rental space for any occasion and the view is magnificent. I highly recommend this restaurant not only for the aroma coming from that kitchen but how the warm of the people will captivate your stomach and heart!

Our first time here and not disappointed. The food and service we absolutely out of this world. The staff was so friendly we felt more like we were invited guest rather than customers. I would highly recommend giving them a try if you haven’t yet.

I traveled 2 and 1/2 Hours to eat here a month ago. Well worth it!
I knew Giuseppe and Vicenza in California when I lived there. Their restaurant here is just as exceptional as it was there. I was in Cleveland for a wedding so I just had to drive to see Giuseppe and Vicenza and eat their To Die For Chicken Marsala as well as to catch up with them. Extremely well worth the drive!!
What gems, the two of them and their family and of course their food! Truly authentic Italian food and hospitality. You won’t be disappointed! Thanks for the memories and nostalgia Giuseppe and Vicenza. In memory of my late husband and our favorite restaurant and owners.
PS thanks for the recipe……

5 Stars – Delightful Top Notch Culinary Discovery

This was our very first visit to Pastaio Cucina Rustica Italiano, and what a delightful surprise! Although we don’t live in the area, we were visiting family nearby and are already looking forward to returning.

To start, we had the Mozzarella Cigars, an appetizer special made with mozzarella stuffed wonton wraps drizzled in hot honey….absolutely incredible! For our entrées, we enjoyed the Rigatoni Barese and the Chicken Piccata (Al Limone), along with a side of Bolognese. Every dish was served hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. Generous portions left us satisfied yet already eager and excited to explore more of the menu next visit.

Our server, Jonathan, was outstanding, friendly, attentive, and efficient. The entire staff reflected the same level of professionalism and care. One detail that really stood out was the cleanliness. The restaurant was spotless from top to bottom, and I mean that literally. After each table was cleared, staff thoroughly cleaned not just the surfaces but even got down to wipe the chairs and table legs. That level of detail is rare and truly appreciated.

The space is welcoming, with two nice sized indoor dining areas and a large covered outdoor patio, perfect for any group size.

A couple of notes: there is a $4 charge for bread (not included with meals), and credit card payments incur a small additional fee, both clearly indicated on the menu.

Overall, a fantastic dining experience. I HIGHLY recommend Pastaio to anyone who appreciates high quality Italian cuisine served with care and attention to detail. Bravo to the owners and staff!

I cannot say enough great things about this place. What a gem in the heart of Wintersville. We came for our anniversary. We were tested like royalty. The grilled pork special was SO GOOD. All of it was amazing from the bread to the gelato. I would come here again over and over.

We had a great first experience there! Brianna was a great server, full of knowledge and a great personality! We loved that the chef came out to check on us and make sure everything was up to par. We will definitely be back! Top notch!

Came in a few weeks ago for Valentine’s Day and was super disappointed honestly! Bill was over $200 for dinner and tap waters, but the experience was less than just going to a chain fast casual Italian place. I wouldn’t complain had it been just the overpriced disgusting food- like a “tuna carpaccio” that was just a plate of mayo and unseasoned canned tuna without the water drained off- but the service was so bad that being told gratuity was automatically included felt kind of insulting. I noticed that at the tables surrounding us, guests were offered baskets of bread and butter before their meals, and they were also told complimentary champagne was included with their deserts, both of which were not offered to us by our server so we didn’t get the option to partake. We cut our meat with butter knives while other servers offered their guests steak knives. The waitress came back while we were signing the bill to “remind us” that we could still tip her even though auto gratuity was included, which is already rude before you consider she didn’t even offer us the main accompaniments to the meal that we paid so much for. There was also an accordion player walking around begging for tips, too. The whole thing was weird and not worth the money. You could find better tasting and higher quality Italian food in the freezer section of a supermarket and you won’t have to pay an automatic gratuity for someone to act agitated about serving it to you. It really felt like watching people play pretend that they work in fine dining- You couldn’t pay me to come back here.

Absolute perfection! This has been the top meal I have had in years. Mushroom ravioli was superb! All of the food was top tier. Closing with the Torta Della Nonna, oh my!

We had the best evening last night. We went on our drive back from the Polar Express with 4 young tired kids. The owners went above and beyond to welcome the kids and keep them happy— including a special trip into the kitchen to scoop their own ice cream. The food and service were great and we can’t wait to come back again if in the area! Truly a gem of a place with great staff.
