Pastai means “the pasta makers” and/or “the pasta sellers.” We specialize in hand-made fresh pasta, prepared from scratch in an open kitchen and made from an array of local whole grains. Our menu is comprised of seasonal ingredients, which we source from local farmers and purveyors. Fine wines and curated spirits are paired with our warm Southern Italian dishes. We also offer signature gluten-free pasta, which is prepared and cooked away from any wheat. Fresh pasta is available for purchase, so you can enjoy our family recipes in the comfort of your own home.

Pastai is a MUST for fantastic Italian food. I came in during my first night in NY and it was such a memorable experience. I was so eagerly excited by every bite and sip of deliciousness! The food is incredibly flavorful. The Bruschetta with house-made ricotta, crushed pistachios & spicy honey is truly out of this world, and a must-must-try. The owner is the kindest and very thoughtful and generous with those that walk in, wanting everyone to enjoy their time. I loved it and will definitely be back!

Had a great date night at Pastai before a broadway show. Had the bruschetta appetizer and spaghetti al carbonara. Both were excellent and great portions. Also had their espresso martini which I highly recommend. The staff was friendly and engaging. Price was very reasonable, even more so when considering the quality. Could not recommend more highly!

We booked the chef’s table and loved every minute of it. What a great little spot for dinner. The Italian chefs Luigi & Ricardo were very interesting and we had fun talking to them. The food was delicious, as was the wine. Highly recommend this spot in Amsterdam!

Top notch!!! Everything about our dinner was perfect, starting with the kind and solicitous wait staff. I had scallops starter and salmon entree w/deeeeeelicious warm lentil salad on the side. Our shared creme brûlée and orange cream-filled donuts dessert makes me salivate just writing about it. Five stars. Grazie, mille, Pastai!!

Discovered Pastai randomly while searching Google Maps for a last minute place to grab dinner on a visit to the city years ago and now make it a point to stop in every time I’m here. I stopped by Pastai last minute just as they were about to close — after another restaurant had shut down early for the night — and they still welcomed me in with a smile. The staff didn’t rush me at all, and my server was incredibly attentive, offering great recommendations that turned out to be delicious. The atmosphere was cozy, the food was exceptional, and the service truly went above and beyond. A delightful experience from start to finish — thank you for saving my night!

We had an amazing time at Pastai, such an elegant spot, Mo at the bar really took care of us, and the food was super delicious. The fried artichoke was almost like a vegetarian calamari. I had the Bucatini Con Cavolfior and really loved it, my boyfriend had the ravioli which I shamelessly stole a bite. I wasn’t going to get dessert but got talked into it, and SO glad I did—the Parmesan crème brûlée was to die for, and I also stole a bite of my boyfriend’s flowerless cake and ice cream, which was also super tasty. I almost ate too much but no regrets We will have to go back soon and try a few more new things! As a vegetarian, Pastai has a bunch of really good options and a great balance on the menu.

This restaurant is so cute! It’s very neighborhoody and cozy and it’s a great option for a date night! Their pasta is amazing and they have a good wine selection too. We went there around 8pm on a Friday and we had a reservation, which I recommend cuz the place was at capacity (there might have been one or two other open tables). I highly recommend this spot if you live in Chelsea

A terrific Sicilian restaurant with great tasting food and good wines in nicely curated space. The service is attentive and very good. The specials and the pastas are all well prepared and made to order. There is a back room available for larger parties. I highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Sicilian food.

This place is a fantastic Italian restaurant! Pastai offers a wonderful selection of fresh delicious pasta , salads , and other authentic Italian dishes ️ – definitely try their Cauliflower Pasta with thick hallow pasta and the Chocolate Cake! The staff is super friendly and welcoming, service is professional and quick ⏲️, ambience is fantastic, the music is great, and the place is nicely decorated. ️ I wish I knew about this place sooner!
