The Batman (Rosario S. Cassata)
This was our initial visit to Pasta Pasta located in downtown Port Jefferson.

They offer both indoor and outdoor seating options.

We began with the bacon-wrapped shrimp, which was exceptionally tasty.

For our main courses, we chose Penne al Vodka and Ravioli Parmigiana.

The staff was pleasant and very polite.

The food was satisfactory.

Parking can be somewhat challenging since there is only a paid public parking lot available.

My wife and I have been coming to Pasta Pasta for a long time. There were times when the service was great, and then there are times like today. The server was friendly, but we felt ridiculously rushed. 10 minutes after we got our food, we were asked if we were done. Also, the check came with the dessert. The server handed me the check and said, “No rush.” No reason to bring the check with the food. The place just opened and it was empty. I appreciate the response from the owner. The food has always been enjoyable so we will give them another chance.

Pasta Pasta did not disappoint. 6 adults and 2 children dined there Saturday, November 29 for a friend’s birthday. The restaurant was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Pre fixed menu with great options. The food was amazing, everyone enjoyed what they ordered. A special shoutout to our waitress Danielle, who was fantastic. We had 2 young boys with us and she suggested putting their meals in first to keep them busy and entertained. That made for a less hectic and enjoyable environment as the adults chatted. Aside from being very attentive she had a great sense of humor and wit that kept us all laughing. It was a very nice evening spending time with friends at Pasta Pasta

EDIT: The response to this review from the owner has me regretting ever giving this business any money. Totally misses the point, and lacks any kind of quality customer service.

We’ve had takeout pizzas before here and it’s always been good just very expensive. We tried a chicken caesar salad and there is no dressing, the lettuce is just wet from being washed. I’ve never seen full blown deli slices of cheese on top of a salad. Half the lettuce is also brown and rotting. When we called we spoke to a manager Anthony who told us he was “looking at the lettuce and it was perfectly green.” Terrible service, definitely won’t be back. It’s a shame because we love supporting local business but not for this low quality food, expensive prices and nasty attitude.

I love this place! I have been going here my entire life since I was a kid and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh and delicious. They have the best most unique bread they serve before the meal arrives! Great location, fun to walk around town before or after. I come here regularly!

This place was awful from start to finish. The staff was rude and completely unaccommodating. I ordered the mozzarella and tomato appetizer—nothing special, it did the job but wasn’t memorable at all. The baked clams were even worse; they tasted like they were bought frozen, definitely not homemade.
For the entrée, I had penne alla vodka, and it was a huge disappointment. The sauce was extremely watery, not thick or creamy like it should be, and the pasta tasted like it came straight out of a box. Nothing about it felt fresh.
To make things worse, the restaurant was freezing. I asked twice for the heat to be turned up, and nothing was done. The temperature was around 67 degrees—it should have been at least 70. Bring a winter jacket if you plan on eating here.
Overall, everything tasted like it was microwaved rather than freshly prepared. With a name like Pasta Pasta, you’d expect better, but the pasta was truly awful.
Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Very nice staff. Delicious food. Large portions. Pretty decor. Solid wine list……However, no cocktails….liquor isn’t served because of zoning too close to the church.

This was my second time here and I enjoyed it very much. A comfortable experience.

Our server Tracey was helpful and professional.

I really enjoyed the Garlic Bread, Seafood Appetizer and the Brownie Dessert with Raspberry Ice Cream. My main dish was satisfying as well.

Overall a very pleasant experience. I will return for certain…..

I was in Port Jefferson a few weeks ago on a birthday trip, and I keep catching myself day dreaming about when I can get back, specifically to return to Pasta Pasta. The entire experience was an unexpected TREAT!

I started with the wasabi calamari (major yum), then had the bolognese, and couldn’t resist being a little cheeky and ordering the DARK CHOCOLATE BAG. All I’ll say is this: next time I’m going to be
adventurous and explore more of that delicious sounding menu, but the Chocolate Bag is officially a yes yes Pasta Pasta staple for me.

The food alone would have been enough, but the service took everything to the next level. Each dish came out perfectly and much faster than I expected.

A HUGE thank-you to my server, Shannon, who gave fantastic recommendations for both food and wine. She didn’t just serve the table, she created the kind of warm, welcoming experience that makes you feel like you’re dining with an old friend, with an energy and sense of humor that made the meal unforgettable. This birthday girl felt truly special❤️

Pasta Pasta is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I was there on Saturday March 16th for an afternoon lunch around 3pm. We were greeted right away and seating just as quickly. Our waitress was attentive and friendly while Anthony also provided us with the lunch menus. We shared all of our food so we could enjoy the amazing CHOCOLATE BAG!!! The space is very cozy and enjoyable and the menu options are incredible! I recommend!

I ordered over $240 worth of food at pasta pasta for my guest on New Year’s Eve. It was take out catering. Except for the pear salad the chicken Panzanella was horrible, dry and no flavor, including the penne pesto and the calamari was awful. My company hated it too l called up pasta pasta the next day and asked for the manager. The manager was not in and the man I spoke to said that the manager would call me in 20 minutes I explained to the man on the phone the problem with the food and he said he would tell the manager my complaint and the manager would call me back the manager never called me back . I have been using pasta pasta for years. I will never eat there or cater there ever again. Not a good restaurant. I was so embarrassed with my company
