Such a cute little pizzeria. The food is spectacular. It’s convenient to I95 when driving thru Connecticut. The New Haven style chicken parm pizza is delicious (crispy crust, tangy sauce, right amount of cheese. We also had a side of meatballs (amazing) and a side salad (freshly made). We took two fresh baked choc chip cookies for the road. I can’t wait go go back!

What I love most is that they have very affordable customized options.. unfortunately they are a little small for the growing demand which means they often run out of ingredients and make substitutions that are ok but disappointing. They are super nice people and I love supporting small business.. Expect that things might be substituted or just sold out. It might be better to call and confirm but using online or the app causes availability issues. If you don’t order ahead expect to wait a minimum of 20 minutes depending on what you get. When they get it right it’s super good the taste never missed ESPECIALLY the meat sauce..I recommend the special items for locals and vacationers but not so much if you are in a rush and on the road because you won’t have time or be in the area for any correction. The cookies are SUPER good and worth a visit for just that.. Their salad greens are amazing. If you are getting pizza ..a salad and cookies go there ANY TIME.

Went for the first time recently, and let me just say, 10/10 will Pizza again. Perfectly crispy, even with a half pepperoni half sausage pizza there was no grease sog, but all crunch ! *Chef’s kiss*

The food at Pasta Avest is delicious. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful along with the staff. We recently had our daughter’s sweet 16th birthday party in their upstairs room that I didn’t even know existed until someone else told us they had a party there. The owner Sara was beyond outstanding. She helped me plan my daughter’s party even step of the way from food suggestions, to making the tables, decor look absolutely wonderful to even helping me set up additional decorations that I brought. My daughter and her friends had a wonderful time! We are so grateful to Sara and her husband for helping make her sweet 16 very memorable. Thank you!

Delicious food! Pasta portions are huge. The gluten free pasta was very good. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Pasta Avest has the absolute best focaccia bread in the CT shoreline area! We love the chicken parm sandwich but really anything that comes on the focaccia is incredible. We like to get a sheet of bread and have it at home for sandwiches, little pizzas, or just snacking.

Came here to pick up lunch for my boss and the experience could not have been better. I asked for a chicken cutlet warmed, expected them to pop one in the oven, but they made me a fresh one to order! You can watch them making all of your food too! Great menu, everything made to order, fresh ingredients, kind & hard-working staff – 11/10 recommend!

We found this place on a trip back to NY, as we were
STARVING and needed food asap. We needed somewhere with parking for our trailer and that would be close to the road and quick. We stopped here, as the food looked better compared to the other places along the way. They had a few guys in the back making food and one girl at the front handling orders. We ordered 2 paninis & a sub. I heard the girl softly say it would take 20 min after just l ordered, which I thought was odd because it was a very simple order and they weren’t busy. The restaurant was interesting, as it was a mix of a pizza, pasta, sandwich, and coffee bar of sorts. There were plenty of seats and outdoor seating as well. It took maybe 25-30 minutes to get our orders, putting a large dent in our trip home by adding an hour. I didn’t have much to complain about for my order, a fresh mozz, basil, tomato, and grilled chicken panini on focaccia. It was huge and beautiful, but it lacked a lot of flavor that it had a lot of potential for. The focaccia was very crispy & the mozz and chicken were fine, but the pesto did not have much flavor, so it was really one note. When my friend opened his sub, he noticed hair on his lettuce, which is never something you want to see, especially after paying ~$15. I don’t have a photo, so you can take my word or not. My boyfriend had a special sandwich with a cutlet and vodka sauce. He didn’t rave about that either and thought the cutlet had little to no flavor.
Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing or caught them on a bad day, or maybe we are just used to having really amazing restaurants near us. I won’t recommend it to anyone driving back through CT.
The staff was nice and the place was cozy, but the food just didn’t make it worth it.

Decided to try something new today and so glad we did and wish I had sooner. The food is amazing. Fresh, cooked to order and plentiful. The stuffed bread is better than ones I’ve had from famous places in New Haven. I’ll be back for sure.

I was planning a 100th birthday celebration for 60 people and compared two shoreline pasta restaurants. The first offered me one main course within our party budget. I walked into Pasta Avest and inquired about catering and met Sarah. She was so kind and helped go through the menu to select fitting appetizers, entrees, and sides within our budget. The whole process was such a breeze, I paid upon pick up and they gave us all the instructions for heating as we were celebrating on a Sunday (the restaurant is closed on Sundays.) The food was incredible and more than enough for our guests. I cannot recommend Pasta Avest enough! We will keep coming back for future events, sporting banquets, large gatherings and family dinners alike!
