Pasquale’s Ristorante & Pizzeria Bar

Social Profile:

When Pasquale Celone moved to New Hampshire from his home near Pompeii and started working in Italian restaurants, some of the Americanized dishes confused him initially. “I said, ‘Alfredo? Who’s Alfredo?’” Celone recalled this week. He realized quickly, of course, that it was just cream sauce. A lot of culinary experience separate that moment from this one, when his Candia restaurant, Pasquale’s Ristorante, is already 18 years old. But Celone is about to become something of a novice again this summer, when for the first time he expands to a new location: Route 102 in Londonderry. A second Pasquale’s Ristorante and Pizzeria is slated to open in July

Pasquale’s Ristorante in Londonderry delivered one of the best casual Italian meals I’ve had in a long time. I came in on a hunt for a great meatball sub, and I ended up finding something far better — a true standout.

Meatball Sub:
This was the star of the night. Pasquale’s uses homemade pizza dough as the bread, stretched and baked so it puffs up like a rustic artisan roll. It’s unique, flavorful, and sturdy enough to hold a fully loaded sub. The meatball itself was outstanding — juicy, perfectly seasoned, and clearly house-made. The cheese melt was spot-on, and the marinara tasted slow-cooked and rich. This easily scored a 9.5 for me, which puts it in elite territory and makes it one of the best meatball subs in New Hampshire.

Pizza:
My wife ordered one of their specialty pizzas, and it was excellent. The crust had that perfect Pasquale’s signature style — puffy, blistered edges with great chew and a light interior. The toppings were flavorful and balanced: melty cheese, caramelized onions, fresh basil, and crispy pieces of cured meat that added a nice savory pop. You can tell they put real care into their dough and bake process. This is high-quality, well-executed pizza that stands out in the region.

Service & Atmosphere:
Service was friendly, attentive, and fast. The dining room has a comfortable, warm feel without being too loud or crowded. Everything came out hot and fresh, and the staff checked in at the right times.

Overall:
Pasquale’s is doing exceptional work — both with classic Italian dishes and with their pizza game. The homemade dough alone sets them apart, and the craftsmanship in their sauces, toppings, and preparation is obvious.

Highly recommend. This meal was easily a 5-star experience, and I’ll be back for both the meatball sub and the pizza.

A Hidden Gem That Feels Like Home ✨

What an incredible find! This Italian-style fresh kitchen is an absolute gem. Every dish is made to order with the freshest ingredients—no GMOs, gluten-free options galore, and a menu that’s as vibrant as it is nourishing. You can taste the love and care in every bite.

As someone with food sensitivities, I couldn’t have asked for a more accommodating experience. Everything was prepared with such attention and integrity—I felt completely at ease. My husband was just as thrilled, and we both left feeling full, happy, and already planning our next visit.

The local vibe is warm and welcoming, and the community energy is contagious. A special shoutout to Rosa, the owner’s daughter, who was absolutely phenomenal. She took her time with us, offered thoughtful recommendations, and carried herself with such elegance and confidence. Her passion for what they do shines through in every interaction.

We’re officially hooked—this will be our go-to spot 2 to 3 times a week. If you’re looking for a place that feeds your body and soul, this is it.

This place was recommended, but it wasn’t the best. They drown their ravioli’s in sauce. The tables are too dark, making it hard to read the menus and the waitress blamed the bar tender for wine for arriving after the meal when we asked to be served with the meal. We saw the glass of wine sitting on the bar waiting for her to deliver it, so the lie only plummeted her tip more. We are told that the pizza is better so we might revisit in the future.

We have gotten takeout from Pasquale’s three times now and it has been delicious every time! Shrimp scampi and chicken, broccoli ziti were very good. Warm bread that came with the meals was heavenly. However, the real star of the show here is their pizzas! Highly recommend!

Both excellent food and service. Clean establishment and love the outside seating.

Amazing Alfredo, squid is tasty and crispy!

And don’t forget the pizza. Although next time I may ask for wll done, it was still astounding how good and fresh these pies were. Not to mention some of the best mozz sticks I’ve ever had.

The ricotta on the five cheese white is so creamy and delicate it’s unbelievable.

Highly recommend!

Pasquale’s Ristorante, located on Nashua Road in Londonderry, is a comfortable stop with a pleasant atmosphere. Three of us came in for lunch. Bread and dipping oil was served prior to the meal. The Salmon Teriyaki I had was excellent. However, I did feel the portions could have been a little larger for the price of the meal. The service was very good. Definitely worth checking out.

Coming from Boston where we have tons of options for authentic, delicious Italian food, finding this restaurant was such a delight. It was very hard to get consistent, well made Italian food when moving up to the Merrimack area until we found Pasquale’s.
