Discover the rich flavors of India at Parvathys Kitchen in West Volusia. We’re a small, family-run restaurant serving authentic Indian cuisine made with love and spice. From humble beginnings selling spices at the DeLand Artisan Alley Farmers market under a canopy in 2014, to 10 years in our beloved food truck, we opened our brick-and-mortar takeout spot in March 2024. Enjoy fresh, aromatic dishes to go. We have a few cozy bar seats available outside. Open Tues 6:30–8:30 pm, Wed 11 am–2 pm and Fri 6:30–9:30 pm. We are located at 105 Artisan Alley DeLand FL 32720. It’s our joy and pleasure to serve you flavorful, freshly homemade dishes that bring the taste of India to your table!

My friend and I went to Parvathy’s kitchen yesterday for lunch during the art fall festival. First Rachel greeted us with such friendly energy. She told us about the menu and the different “heat”levels. I ordered the tikka chicken Masala and it was delicious. My friend ordered the lentil soup and she loved it. I totally recommend this gem of a restaurant. You won’t be disappointed. I will be back for more.

Masala, every dish is hand crafted and perfectly balanced with long grain white rice and a carrot salad along with a sweet apricot chutney. If you leave here feeling hungry then you should have paired the meal with a healthy portion of the baked samosas. Every bite is filling, balanced and seeped with spices that will leave you enjoying every unique bite. No complaints and will happily return for the delicious unique daily menu and loving smile from the staff.

We aren’t from this area and decided to stop here on a whim while we were here at our wedding venue. BEST DECISION EVER!!!! They were so so nice and welcoming and you can tell that food is made with LOVE! We are already planning our next trip back here!

Great Indian food. Odd hours. I first came to it when it was a food truck at Artisan Ally on weekends and the line was always long long long. 8 chairs fire the outdoor seating. Note, it is basically takeout. But plenty of places to park your butt her in downtown DeLand!

Wow, the food here is top tier. The staff are so friendly & inviting and even remembered me after just one previous visit. The samosas are delicious. The chicken tikka is my favorite so far but I look forward to trying everything else they have to offer. The only downside to the place is that they are not open every single day!

I cannot say enough good things about Parvathy’s, Rachel, or her family. Their food is delicious, the atmosphere of their restaurant is welcoming, and they as people are very kind. I absolutely love the samosas, the naan (drooling just thinking about the garlic butter), their mango lassi, and chai ice cream are all some of my favorites. They have many main dishes but we have always gotten the curries which are also delicious. Highly, highly recommend!

They are very nice and accommodating. The food left a lot to be desired. The taste and spice level were great, but there was little to no sauce. We like some sauce with our butter chicken/chicken tikka masala. That left a dry meal and nothing to dip the naan into.
