Welcome to Medinas Mexican Restaurant! I came into town from Austin Tx and my father in law decided to bring us here! Honestly the food was delicious all 4 plates were gone! Service was excellent as well! Love the vibe here I feel like I’m in Mexico! Enjoy the food photos

Off the beaten path, in old town. The salsa was fresh, the chips crispy. It was an adventure. The waitress asked if we wanted soup, she said tomato base, comes with your meal. We were the last customers of the day. They didn’t hesitate to put the closed sign on as the door closed, too bad they didn’t have it on and we would have gone somewhere else. The cheese enchiladas had a sauce I have never have tasted before, hopefully never again. The cheese tasted like fake cheese, not tasty. Howard’s fajitas salad was good. He lived the taste of the onions. I ordered the sour cream chicken enchiladas. The beans were okay. The enchiladas, dry no sauce. I found it difficult to eat. The chicken was dry, no sauce, won’t have that again. Maybe if they were not ready to close, it might have been better?

Stopped here for lunch craving Mexican food. It has a quaint feel with colorful walls and decor. We had hard shell tacos a taco salad and chicken tenders – they were all good and very standard. I will try the enchiladas next time. The service was good.

Food and service were great. The beef enchiladas were delicious. The meat sauce that is served on the enchiladas was very unique and flavorful. The neat old building was clean and is in a cool location on the downtown square. Fill your belly full of good food from this restaurant. They won an award for best enchiladas and I agree.

Cool little Mexican Restaurant in downtown Lampasas!! We ate there for my brother’s 17th birthday and everyone really enjoyed the place. Would recommend and will definitely be back!

Don’t waste your time in this dump. This place is run down smells horrible in there. I ordered fajitas beef and chicken. There was only 6 tiny pieces of meat. The beans was straight from a can. The owner and cooks were screaming at one another the whole time. Definitely will not be going back to this place. I’d love to see the health inspection report on this place.

This was our first time here, didn’t know about this jewel. Service was excellent, our server, Nicholas, was great!
I’m a bit of a Mexican food snob, so when I say this place has the best enchiladas I’ve had in a long time you can believe it. First, they are made with corn, not flour, tortillas. That’s a huge thing for me. They come with cheese unless you ask for beef, just an FYI, but even then, the sauce they put on top has plenty of flavor. The beans are delicious, the rice is good and their chips tasted nice and fresh, and considering we came a little before closing I was really impressed!
I highly recommend this place over Linda’s and El Rodeo as well. This will be our new regular Mexican restaurant from now on.

Oh, and the prices are great too!!

Quaint repurposed old store front serving homestyle Tex-mex. I am a little biased as the patriarch of the family that owns it was a childhood friend of my father but I enjoyed my plate of enchiladas very much and so did my folks.

I don’t go for the atmosphere or the service. For me ……..I go for FOOD!!! Especially since I’m hungry at a restaurant.
Hands down the BEST CHEESE ENCHILADAS in the area. I would say maybe even the state.
Great time to go on Wednesdays when they have all you can eat cheese enchiladas.
Give it a try and you won’t be upset.
