Parma can be a bit crowded, sometimes. It certainly was on Friday, but we were seated immediately.
We enjoyed our meal with an excellent bottle of red wine (94 points on WE!), offered on special that evening for only $40!
The salads were overdressed a bit, this time. Whoever applied the dressing had a lead foot, for sure. At least the dressing was not overly sweet. Lemon viniagrette. Maybe get it on the side next time.
I almost always order the Spaghetti Fra Diavola. It is my favorite. See photo. The sauce is exquisite. I wish I could make this sauce at home. Mind you, it may vary, night to night. We’ve had some marginal experiences there… but it’s usually very solid. I’m not keen on the premixed pesto goop they serve with the bread… and the bread could be warmer… but I really ought to eat less bread, anyway. A very nice dessert option, this visit. See photo.

I’ve been quite disappointed with most of the Italian restaurants I’ve visited in Colorado. Perhaps, visiting many parts of Italy and trying authentic Italian cuisine was an eternal curse. Then our friends asked us to meet them at this “Parma Trattoria & Mozzarella Bar”. I went there by keeping my hopes and expectations in-check. I thought I was walking into, yet another restaurant that claims to know good Italian cuisine. However, they pleasantly surprised me! A FIVE STAR surprise!

It was a Sunday evening and this place was super busy when we walked-in. The calamari appetizer, was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. It was light and fluffy and couldn’t even tell it was a deep-fried dish. The Zefferano Risotti was executed to absolute perfection! As you may know, Risotto is a very difficult and temperamental dish, in my opinion, that many would shy away from serving in any setting. Yet they nailed it to perfection! I had the Linguini Scampi and that too was excellent! The pasta was cooked to perfect al dente. Everything in this – quite comprehensive menu – looked amazing! The service too was in perfect harmony. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and fast. I had a great experience here and I highly recommend this place. But make reservations or you might not get a table.

One of the best Italian spot in Colorado. I had the calamari and chicken parm. After tip it ran me about $45. The calamari was perfectly breaded and served with an amazing spicy marinara and the chicken parm was big enough for two. Definitely my new Italian spot moving forward. I ate so much I couldn’t eat for the rest of the day.

A packed parking lot at 5:45p (the only reservation time available) was the 1st great sign that the meal was going to be excellent. Sure enough, Parma didn’t disappoint because the wine selection and squash/mozzarella appetizer were fantastic! Our server was very helpful, expedient and friendly.
The only downside was the noise as Parma is an open kitchen concept and the floor concrete giving a reverb sound that eventually fade into the background. We were a party of 4 and our party finished each course. So awesome! If you are into “real” italian food and spirits, Parma should be #1 on your list!

Parma is one of our favorite go-to restaurants. Food and service is always very good. One little area of improvement could be made to the Tiramisu – we found it to be extremely sweet with way too much chocolate syrup, which in our experience, is not traditional for this dessert. We normally order this dessert at restaurants because it is not overly sweet, so this was the exception. Otherwise, everything else was great, and service is always exceptional!

My new go to for Italian dishes. It was my first time going to Parma this weekend with my family. My good experience started with just make reservations. We were a large party and they were extremely accommodating. Our waiter provided great service all while being extremely busy. All of the food was really good, we got the lasagna and pasta Alfredo. I recommend checking this place out!

Great menu and amazing food. This butter pesto that comes with bread is unbelievably good and I don’t even like pesto!

I visited this restaurant several times and ordered different items: the Raffaello crostone, pappardelle al cinghiale, bucatini cacio e pepe, pistachio cheesecake and tiramisu. Everything was really delicious and tasted authentic (the tiramisu is the only item that I would not reorder). Very nice staff and environment. I can’t wait to return.

This was our first time eating here and from entering the restaurant to leaving, overall it was a disappointing experience. Reviews for this restaurant raved about its service and food that harked of genuine Italian food. I made a reservation for Valentines weekend, expecting something special. But when we walked in, there was no greeting. In addition, when I made the reservation, I indicated that this would be our first time to the restaurant and yet on top of the cold lackluster greeting they seated us in the tent area with a crowded birthday party. To their credit, once I said something they moved us, but honestly, it should never have happened. Again, the fact that they never greeted us and acknowledged the fact that we had a reservation was not a very warm welcoming I would expect more from a restaurant with these prices and these reviews. The bread that they brought out was semi warm, very small and lacked taste. It was served with some sort of oily buttery pesto sauce that lacked flavor and look more like mashed pea baby food. My wife ordered a Keylime martini, but it tasted more like a licorice Lacore with a hint of lime. The calamari we ordered came out almost instantly after ordering, and after tasting it, I can see why, it was undercooked. And the so-called spicy marinara sauce with it was not spicy and they only gave us just a thimbleful. My wife ordered as her main course shrimp linguine. I would say it lacked flavor as well. It was like there was no sauce, only something that resembled chicken broth. My ravioli was a special, and the inside filling and sauce were flavorful, but the ravioli itself was undercooked and very chewy and tough around the edges. While, I appreciated the fast service, the food came out too fast and made me think after tasting it that it was not properly prepared. Almost as if their way of handling a busy Valentine weekend was to get people in and out as fast as possible with food that cut corners. Honestly, it’s pretty bad when you’re thinking Olive Garden would’ve been better. We ordered tiramisu because we heard it was very good and received high remarks as well, but its flavors were not balanced with the coffee flavoring overpowering the dessert. To make matters worse, the soda I ordered with it was flat. Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience and the food here. The most charming part of our experience was our server who was an older gentleman from Italy who explained the history of tiramisu. We honestly wanted to like this restaurant, other than the nice environment and our charming server, that’s about the only thing pleasant I can say about our time here.
