Absolutely lovely people and amazing food! We stopped in for their first time being in town unexpectedly with my husband’s service dog. He found a place with outdoor seating just in case. I went in and asked if they had a preference if we sat outside or inside (some places do. I know it’s an issue). The hostess immediately said whatever we prefer, come on in if he’s a service dog. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and the food was extremely tasty. The BLT sub, meatlovers omelet, and kids pancake and egg were all perfection. Great find!

Great place for a Sunday meal after church. Wide variety on the menu, surely something for anyone to be found. The Parkway sampler is a fantastic appetizer, and I liked the country fried steak. The gravy wasn’t quite as peppery as I personally like it, but I understand why, I like a lot of pepper. Dessert selections all look amazing.

One of the best breakfast spots I have been to; finally had lunch there on New Year’s Day! I appreciate that the entrees are not covered in salt and the vegetables taste like vegetables, not just like I’m eating a slab of fatty meat. Service is always friendly and prompt, clean dining area and restrooms. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that the fried porkchop was cooked too hard and was tough; lots of batter, but the meat inside was thin as paper. We let the waitress know and told her it was not her fault, still tipped her accordingly and paid the full bill .

We stopped here on our way to Lake Lure (near Asheville) from Raleigh and it was a great pit stop. Tons of seating inside. Reasonable prices and the food is good! My kids love the spaghetti and chicken fingers/fries. I had a delicious burger and my husband got the country style steak over rice. The server was great. They had ice cream next door too (my kids desperately wanted but we didn’t get it! It was Hersheys.)

We have been here several times and we keep giving it another shot. It has so much potential but the menu is way too big and I believe it stretches the kitchen thin. If they focused on their strengths it could be really good.

It was ok. The food didn’t have the “wow factor” I was looking for. My potato was not fresh and on the cold side. The greens were good but luke warm. It was a little dirty but it’s Sunday and busy. But your menus could use a good wipe down. Overall it’s a nice small family oriented diner with friendly staff. The fish was great so I’ll be back

Renting a cabin in the area. 1st time here. There’s ample parking. The facility is spacious. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. And she checked on us regularly. We jalapeno poppers and fried pickles ok. The breaded mushrooms are amazing. We had different items from the menu. The fried chicken was exceptional. As was the cole slaw. Only downside side mashed potatoes weren’t hot and the broccoli was soft and salty. I usually don’t do 5 stars but we were pleasantly surprised at the extensive menu options. Too bad it’s too far us to make it a go to. Absolutely need to try this.

Hidden Gem. I would say it’s that good greasy spoon… but it’s nicer than a greasy spoon!! The food was delicious, HUGE variety on the menu. Best Crinkle cut fries! Had the cheeseburger with Chilli, so yummy. Also, had the beef tips on rice, very tender! the fried okra was really good and crispy! Sweet tea was very southern and Sweet!! The staff was soo very kind and all the waitresses came out on the super cute patio to greet my doggy!! They were so accommodating! The desserts in the case looked sooo delicious! We opted for the giant cookies!!! There is also an Ice Cream shop inside! This is a must try!! Will definitely make my way back!

This Parkway House Restaurant was wonderful! There was a very sweet young lady that greeted us and held the door for us when we walked into the restaurant.
Our waitress, Renee made suggestions that were spot on and continued to check on us.
The food was as delicious as the pictures look! The prices were excellent, we brought home food for lunch today! ❤️
