We stopped here dinner with family last night. Plenty of parking and easy access to get in. Walk in and greeted and advised to seat your self – Nice! We were prompted assisted for drinks and ordering. Turkey and dressing we got and my other family members got the pork chops. If you get turkey and dressing you will need extra dressing. Cranberry sauce on the side was a pinch and I’d love more. Meal was plentiful and came with two sides-I had candied yams and collards, all good. The mushrooms were amazing as an appetizer! You must get the mushrooms. Service was attentive and friendly. My son-in-law treated us but I did buy cake and an amazing coconut pecan cookie – I LOVE the cookie more than then cake. The cake I grab had peanut butter-never had that. I love peanut butter but not in cake. $11 for cake and cookie. All the staff were friendly.

This was my first visit and I must say, the food was quite delicious. I ordered the fish sandwich and my friend had their pork chop breakfast. The chops and fish were served hot and well cooked. I am impressed and can’t wait for my next visit. The staff was very attentive and we were acknowledged when walked in and was immediately seated. I really don’t mind recommending this restaurant.

My friend and I met up for a relaxed girls’ night dinner, and overall, it was a decent experience with a few highs and lows. We were seated right away, which was a great start. Our server came by immediately to take our order, but since we weren’t ready, it took quite a while for her to return which was frustrating.
I ordered the cranberry grilled chicken salad, but swapped the grilled chicken for their homemade chicken salad, which came with a surprising $3 upcharge. That said, the salad itself was tasty, especially with the generous blue cheese crumbles. I opted for their homemade blue cheese dressing but it missed the mark. It was lacking that rich blue cheese flavor and not very creamy.
My friend also ordered a salad, but started with a bowl of their chicken and rice soup. I tried a bite, and it was actually quite good with a similar texture to egg drop soup and a light, creamy consistency that didn’t feel heavy.
The atmosphere was casual and diner-like, and we were able to sit and chat for a while without being disturbed. Checkout is done at the front, and they can split the check if needed, which is convenient. The space itself was clean and tidy, though every tabletop had noticeable peeling and damage, which made them seem like they weren’t cleaned properly or thoroughly.
Overall, Parkway House is an average, no-frills local spot. It’s close to home, and I’d return if I’m in the mood for diner food without expecting anything above the basics.

Honestly I’ve been to this place a dozen times now and they’re batting damn near 1000. I more strongly recommend their breakfast but their lunch is good too. Some of the pastas can be a bit underseasoned but get a Rubenor something like that or just opt for the breakfast menu and you’re gonna have a truly fantastic time with great service and good at a reasonable price. I’ll keep going back.

We hosted a women’s brunch in the area and realized—about an hour before the event started—that we needed some extra bacon and sausage. The amazing staff jumped right on it without hesitation! Our order was ready in just 15 minutes, and we were able to keep things flowing smoothly.

I always appreciate the service here with I’m grabbing my food to go early on the weekend morning but whether I take the time to sit down with my family at the actual restaurant. Food selection is diverse, fresh, and everybody in my household enjoys whether it be breakfast lunch or dinner at this particular diner. They’re very prompt even though the food is made cooked to order it is always still out within 10 or 15 minutes depending on what you order and the atmosphere is always laid back and relaxed calm and the staff again is always great
