Opening to rave reviews in 1984, the Parkway Grill has been a powerful force in the Regional American culinary movement and at the forefront in bringing trendsetting cuisine to Pasadena by specializing in a seasonal, market-driven approach that incorporates diverse influences and classic French technique. Thanks to its progressive spirit and innovations like an exhibition kitchen and extensive use of a wood-fired oven, the Parkway Grill is often referred to as the Spago of Pasadena. The design of the Parkway Grill is a study in casual sophistication, striking a perfect balance between elegance and rustic approachability. The brick walls are adorned with elegant paintings by Millard Sheets and mixologists prepare hand-crafted cocktails at
Upscale spot serving Californian cuisine in an art-filled, elegant setting since 1984.

My senior dad who is pretty picky with his steak, actually ate all of his. Forgot what he got but he like how tender it was. The SO thought his 40day NY Steak was decent but nothing that great. Rest of the party thought it was good. None of the bread was dairy-free. Many ppl in our party enjoyed the bread with raisins.
The reason we picked this place was due to being in Pasadena, not overly loud like other places, and decent. Also, they surprisingly had a last minute cancellation dinner reservation a week before. Bare in mind, this is the Saturday before Xmas so it’s a busy night. A family member works in the area and tried all the steakhouses for work, and tried this place to RSVP.
But what truly stole the show was the incredible cuisine. We indulged in the succulent lobster, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The portion was generous, and the presentation was stunning.
And don’t even get me started on the desserts! The decadent chocolate cake was rich, velvety, and utterly divine. Each bite was a masterclass in texture and flavor.
Throughout our meal, the service was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Our server expertly guided us through the menu, offering spot-on recommendations and ensuring that our glasses were always full.
Overall, I highly recommend The Parkway Grill to anyone seeking a refined and indulgent dining experience. With its exceptional cuisine, elegant atmosphere, and top-notch service, this restaurant is sure to impress even the most discerning palates.
Ok, so now the service, AMAZING waiter, staff. Food danged good. The beet salad, refreshing, and the Tiger shrimp, amazing, although my scallops were a bit dry, perhaps frozen before? The branzino, $56, boneless, poached, and delicious.
Old fashioned was good. My Hubby’s martinis perfect with earrings. His rum cake, not rum cake, and a little dry. My desert, the lava cake, was dry in the center, however when I told the waiter, the kitchen sent a brand new one with the proper lava! Delicious. Overall a good dining experience. $360 for two of us maybe not, but good enough.
