Wow! I didn’t know what to expect from the outside, but the restaurant was so clean and smelled so good. I got the gyro sandwich and wanted a healthy dinner, I am so grateful for all the fresh veggies in their salad. Very good meat! I saw other people order a chicken dinner, it looked incredible. It was a lot of food for a very good price. Thank you!

I usually go to Ali’s broast and burger on ridge and Howard but was carrying too much to get there. So I stopped here, didn’t expect much but the bare minimum. Didn’t get that. This is a first time here and last time. Staff were frowning zombies, very dry energy. Homeless people and others loitering. Ordered an Italian beef and fries to go. Fries were in a white paper sack so by the time I got home they were a soggy greasy mess. Grease soaked through the paper sack. Tried to eat it because I didn’twant to waste it. Big mistake, got nauseous and had to stop. Between that and the loud loiterers using profanity, never again. A wake up call to eat healthier. Rock bottom. The greasy slop is cheap for a reason. You’ll pay in other ways. There’s unhealthy fast food and there’s cheap greasy nauseating slop. If I crave unhealthy fast food I’ll take the hike to Ali’s. Burn some calories, enjoy halal methods, and get my food and fries in a proper to-go container. Plus the staff at Ali’s are so much more friendly. Maybe staff here were having a bad day but I won’t be back to find out. My money could have been put towards something better. Regret giving this place a chance and my money. Never again!!!!

I think the 4.2 rating is because of low ratings from years ago. Went in for the first time today, and it was what I was hoping for. Got bacon cheeseburger and fries, everything was fresh, had good flavor, good portion size, reasonable prices, the place was very clean. I’ll def hit this place up rather than the local BK. Will visit again.

Tried a gyros, only because the meat spindle is used, unlike many places who weight and refrigerate for each gyros. The pieces do not deserve to be called gyros, cut small, possibly to make sandwich appear generous. The Pita Bread is also smaller than usual, also giving the appearance of a huge sandwich. 7.50 not bad for a quick bite, but only a few thin sliced tomato wedges, and about a soup spoon of sauce is present with option for extra sauce 75 cents. The waitress is pushy, stressing fries when you do not want any. Upon review of the menu after eating, she tells that another gyros will be ready soon, but I did not order one, seems as if she is on commission, or obligated to the owner. Would prefer to buy a gyros sandwich kit at Jewels or other grocery store, for a few or more dollars more. Here, it feels as if I am merely giving my money away for an imaginary sandwich, unlike what gyros used to be. Point of order, those are not Maxwell Street Polish or Hot Dogs, not by far just because of the smaller size meat, and the lack of original cooking method, bun preparation, and ingredients. Will not return, even at these lower prices for some menu items.

Reliable and simple restaurant with burgers, gyros, sandwiches, etc. I have dropped in a number of times and it’s always tasty. Good for a casual meal. Could perhaps use a design refresh but they did have a nice Día de Los Muertos altar this past weekend.

I got the Gyro meal. It came with pita, lettuce, onion, tomato, fries, Spanish rice, and enough gyro meat for me to have three meals – all for $10! All of it was delicious too! (Meat is piled higher than it looks in the photo)
