I came into Parkside Diner with my family for a meal last week as I’ve done for the past 15+ years. We live right around the corner and have always turned to Parkside for a meal when we wanted to go out to eat. In all of these years of us coming in we’ve never had such a poor experience as we did this time around. Our experience started off fine, as per usual. My mom’s soup was great and her meal looked great, but my sister’s and my meal unfortunately had a hair in both, it was the same type of hair, same color, and texture, neither of which could be ours, that we noticed before we began to eat. The three of us all have worked in the service industry, and have handled food, we understand it happens, we simply wanted the food remade, so we could still enjoy our experience and give Parkside our service. Unfortunately our server was extremely rude regarding the issue and rather than even apologizing, she instead gave us the cold shoulder as if it was our fault. We understand the frustration a server has of having any issue with how food comes out, as it’s not necessarily her fault. Not once did we make it out to be her fault, or pry for free food, we just wanted a remake. This was extremely disappointing considering the history with Parkside Diner that my family has.

July 2025: Four of us met at Parkside Diner for a late morning breakfast on a recent Friday. It had been many years since we ate here last and we were pleasantly surprised by how much seating there is inside. They also offer outdoor dining on the patio (weather permitting). The restaurant was maybe 2/3 full when we arrived. We were seated quickly and given menus. They feature a nine-page menu packed with an almost endless variety of breakfast and lunch options, including one page dedicated solely to a dozen or so variations of Eggs Benedict. We eventually decided on our choices and placed our orders with our server. Our food (a Western omlet w/homefries/toast, a full stack of three large pancakes/OJ, a chicken salad club sandwich, and two eggs/sausage/toast) was served up hot a little over 15 minutes later. Portion sizes are what I’d consider generous and the menu prices reflect that. All of our meals were good, although the pancakes tasted a little off during this visit. The bill for our four meals and coffee totaled a bit over $58 including tax and a cash discount. But the real highlight of our visit here was our server, Rachael. She was extremely pleasant, very personable, fully engaging, and very efficient. She was truly outstanding and provided us with some of THE best service that we’ve experienced in any restaurant. Rachael was a real delight, and exactly the type of person you want serving your next meal. Enjoy, and thanks for reading!

Cool dinner next to the first miniature golf in the country. Big portions of filling good. Nice spot to sit outside in a nice day.

Great local breakfast place. We were visiting family and told this was the place to go for a great breakfast. The stuffed waffle was amazing and the pot roast Benedict was delicious. Next time we come from CT will make sure to stop back by.

Have been living in Rochester my entire life, always passed by this place on the way to Seabreeze or the beach, but had never been here. Well let me be the first to tell you this place is a sleeper. Their food is incredible, honestly better than most diners in Rochester. Typically I’m skeptical of corn beef and hash at diners because it’s usually not homemade, but Parkside’s is phenomenal. Best corned beef and hash I’ve had. Putt putt golf is one of the oldest in the country, and oddly much more difficult than I expected. Definitely give this place a try! Staff was quick and friendly as well.

Breakfast with friends and a new place for us. I had a ham omelette and everything else at the table looked delicious. The service was great and I appreciated the server taking note that I could not eat dairy. Will definitely be back.

Charming diner located near Sea Breeze with a large menu selection. I still have not been to their mini-golf course. It’s on my “to do” list. We ordered breakfast and it was unlike other breakfast in the area. Before I forget, our waitress Ann Marie was awesome! Back to breakfast, creative flavors and huge portions. I had the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes—their #1 selling pancakes, filled with homemade cinnamon sauce and homemade glaze. It was delicious! My mother had Banana Caramel Pecan Pancakes and they were delicious and decadent … lots of bananas, pecans, homemade caramel syrup, and glaze. Pancakes were perfect! They were not too heavy and had perfect texture and flavor.

Great place for any meal , food is always on point . Their breakfast options are extensive. Portions are huge , the pancakes have to be 12″ across. Lunch and dinner is also great and they always have some great specials. And a nice touch is theu have free soft serve. Definitely stop in

We always have great service and delicious food. Prices are very reasonable, and you can sit outside in the summer. They have tables with umbrellas and even a big tent. It looks small on the outside but there are lots of tables inside. This diner is a favorite for locals.
