What a great place out in the middle of nowhere! Parkfield is this tiny little town on 18 people, and yet they have this great restaurant and outdoor music area! I’m sure it is busy during the day, but we got there around 6pm and there was only a few locals there.
We got the Cowboy chicken club sandwich and a bacon cheddar hamburger. Both came with fries and both items were so good! The chicken sandwich has grilled chicken pieces mixed with an ranch dressing avocado, onions, lettuce, bacon, tomato and Jack cheese on a toasted French roll.
The hamburger was cooked perfectly and had bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle on a toasted bun.
We also had their Mud Pie and it was so great. Great ice cream, with a oreo crust and lightly drizzled chocolate fudge sauce and Heath Bar crumble!! Yummy!!
The outdoor seating area is rustic (picnic tables), but perfect for the area and very nice grass area and music venue.
Great food and atmosphere, we will be back!

It’s one of my all-time favorite places to ride my motorcycle to. The staff are great the food is always good and the atmosphere is unique. I highly recommend getting off the beaten path and taking a drive to the Parkfield Cafe.

Amazing out of the way place. It was very clean and well maintained. The food was exceptional albeit a little expensive, but acceptable and not outrageous. We will be going there again soon. It is a great drive on back roads from San Miguel for a antique auto. The lineup at the counter to order food and drinks was slow and tedious really needing 2 people at the counter. Speed of food prep. was actually quite fast. The tables are a little crowded for sitting space. Their burgers were exceptionally good too! Overall, it was an exceptional place.

Never dissapoints. If you want to step back in time into the old West, this is worth the scenic drive into elk and cattle country. It’s like driving into a time machine. The rustic aroma of red oak BBQ cooking fills the air.
The attendants make you feel at home on the ranch.

This may be a bit out of the way, but the meat here comes straight from the nearby V6 Ranch and also sits near the San Andreas Fault line. A good place to stop if you’re dominating the trails here or taking photos here.

My words have no way to praise this cafe as much as I’d love to. This place is quite literally a hidden gem that all should visit and enjoy. The building itself is so cool and feels out of our time. The staff have always been very kind and attentive. Both times that I have visited, it was a spur of the moment thing. I was absolutely not dressed in a way that I could blend in. However, not once did I feel like I didn’t belong or was out of place. This is considering I had a big blue jumper and a bright orange DUFF beer beanie during my last visit! Fantastic environment and all my praise to the staff. The food itself is even better than I can describe. Everything feels homemade and from a better time. I’ve tried the steak sandwich, cheddar bacon burger, and the award winning burger. All were amazing and, in my honest opinion, UNDERpriced. They could charge me double and I’d keep coming back. But that just adds to it. Just visit them, you won’t regret it!
