Saw this diner ranked on some Top Diners of NJ list, and probably had too high expectations. Came here for brunch with my inlaws and my kid, got a wide variety of meals – like French toast, califonia/avocado benedict, hamburger steak meal, applesauce ham, and a western omlette with hash browns.

Service was fine, place felt homey enough, but I felt like all the food was just OK. There were some unappetizing brown on the avocados, some overcooked bits on the steak, and a bit soggy on the toast. Tasted just fine, and left very full with loads of leftovers, but didnt feel fulfilled.

Recently renovated but this diner has been around forever. There are a ton of seats, so even when it’s busy, you’re not stuck waiting around. Lots of options to choose from and the portion sizes are plenty. It’s a solid, no nonsense diner that delivers exactly what you want at all hours of the day and night.

Really great diner! My fiancé and I DoorDash regularly from here, they always get the order right and the food is always so good. We have tried a lot of things on the menu, everything we have had is great. Highly recommend

Let me start with not a warm welcome. Thank god the other guy came over and became my server. Because who else was working there didn’t say hello or anything. Just a weird look

Matzah ball soup was did. Bigger ball than most places.

I got the ribeye. The steak if cooked right probably would have been good. I asked med rare. It was well done. Dried out. Probably the worst steak I have ever eaten.

They do put onion rings on the steak. Those were good.

Mash potatoes. I mean they were pretty plain but nothing terrible.

Now the waiter as good as he was. He saw that I didn’t eat the steak. Someone should have done something for me. Nope full price. $33 for a soup and pinion rings.

Very strange and only my experience. But still very disappointing

Haven’t been here since the name change, been that long! Great food and great service. Not too busy and was a great spot for our group.

Huge menu with something for everyone. From Fat sandwiches to typical diner fare. It’s byob, so grab some friends and head over!

My son wanted to take me to this place. He used to frequent here with his mother, who is no longer with us. He’s been asking me so today we went and it was such a wonderful experience being there with him and listening to his memories of him and his mother…the atmosphere was very nice…not crowded or loud. We arrived there around 4:45 pm. The service was very nice and our servers were knowledgeable and congenial…Thank you Ms. Emily and Mr. Tyler, our servers. A job well done. But honestly, my praise goes to the chef/cook. I have NEVER had pancakes so nice and fluffy like I experienced here. I took a bite and WoW! I told my son, “Son, this is REALLY GOOD” and Thanked him for bringing me here. It was a really good time. A very much needed father/son time. I’m glad my son chose this place and by the way…my son is 11 yrs old…I recommend this place HIGHLY! Everything was a job WELL DONE!
Kudos PARK22 Diner!
Best regards,
Eric

I am extremely happy to see a 24/7 diner again. Most of the diners post pandemic stopped overnight hours. This one is 24/7. I appreciate the friendly and attentive service. Our food came out quickly despite there being five tables of customers there at 3:30 am.

I enjoyed an omelet with wheat toast and some oatmeal with a coffee. Thanks again.

First time there the waitress was stressed and overwhelmed because she was the only server in the whole restaurant and the debit/credit machines were not working so I ended up having to write my card information on a piece of paper which I was very uncomfortable with. However, the food itself was AMAZING I ordered their Smokey Chipotle BBQ Mayo burger paired with their waffle fries and I went straight to heaven. Me and my wife have been back again and the food did not disappoint a bit. This time around there was plenty of staff and no issues with paying for the check. Definitely a great spot for food at a reasonable price I would recommend people who haven’t been here to give it a try.

Yes!!! Go here.

Twice in a week. Been here two times this week! (That’s like a marriage for me—I’m super picky by nature.) Out late the other night and everything seemed closed. It was literally here or White Castle. Can’t cut up White Castle but my son and I were pretty hungry so we stopped to try the Park22 and I am so glad we did. Who has a cheerful waitress after midnight?..this place! We were in search of some filling comfort food so went with a plate of Chicken and Waffle & Meatloaf w/gravy. All served its purpose.

Back today for breakfast and it was the best! Dishes in photos: Oreo Pancakes, Scrapple, California Skillet (all the way…see note), & Jersey Border. Substantial portions, great taste served hot, good coffee, kind staff.

Note: this place has been good about my requests…such as just meatloaf on a plate even if it is called a sandwich and about going all the way on the Cali Skillet (no potatoes) even going the extra mile to serve it over sautéed spinach for me. Thank you—thank you—thank you.

Visit and you’ll be returning. It’s the kind of place that when you ask to buy a cookie on your way out they direct you to the freshest of them all.

Additional notes: there is window seating of booths up front and that’s the way I go, it’s a bit busy and noisy up there but that’s my comfort zone (teach middle school) BUT…there is a softer, quieter side dining room if that’s your thing. Didn’t find a kids menu.

All in all good, thank you for a great mealx2.
