This was my 3rd attempt to love the food here, but I can only say that it’s mediocre at best. This time I tried the chicken parmesan & pot roast. I hate complaining about the actual food at any local restaurant, but both pieces of chicken were burnt & extremely dry. The salads were great, and so was their spaghetti that came with the meal. The pit roast was okay, but I didn’t realize the carrots would taste sweet. I truly was not expecting them to be sweet in a pot roast. I added a side of macaroni & cheese that tasted great, but was $2.75 & really tiny. I expected more for almost $3. ♀️ Some of the staff was really nice, but others were not very friendly. My overall experience is that I think I’ll skip this restaurant when there are other options.

When my father n law passed away Park Place did their best to accommodate a very large order on short notice. They were so sweet about everything and delivered all his favorites for the visitation. He loved eating here. Will never forget it. Always enjoy our dining experience. Great family owned business and staff! Thanks again!

Fried green tomatos are so dang good here! Everything else that I’ve tried is pretty good most of the time. It can be a hit or miss, never bad just maybe not as good as it was the time before.
The prices are great. They haven’t skyrocketed like most places and keep it fair.
The service is the best! The lady (I wish I could remember her name) that has worked there for years is so sweet and dang good at her job. No matter how busy she gets her demeanor and service never change. We have had other servers as well and haven’t had a problem with any of them.
We have enjoyed y’all for many years and pray for many more.

They have an excellent salad bar
Our waitress, Lucy, was wonderful. She was super friendly and full of that Southern Hospitality and Charm. She was pretty much in the area the entire time without annoying us. She was full of smiles even when she said she was grumpy and about to lose it (she was kidding), which made me laugh. I completely agree with her when she said, “It’s so hard to find a good salad bar these days, isn’t it? Especially since COVlD.” Indeed it is.
I look forward to coming here regularly when we move to the area in the Fall.
Hubs got a chicken salad sandwich, and it was so stuffed with chicken salad he couldn’t eat it all (plus lettuce and tomato). He ordered the fries to go with it and there were enough fries on the plate to feed both of us! I didn’t eat any, though, because I was busy stuffing myself with the delicious salad bar… Beets, potato salad, tomato & cucumber salad, & regular salad (lettuce, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, green peas, Cheddar cheese, mushrooms, green pepper, ranch dressing… ).
They also had ham, bacon bits, and vegetable & potato soups (they all had meat of some kind in them, tho).
The place is in a strip mall off Lafayette Rd in Fort Oglethorpe, not too far from the main drag. I tell ya, the more time we spend here, the more I really like this area! I’m super excited for Fall

This place is the last Hope I have in the world for good food! Down home country cooking, and wonderful people! The Goodlet’s truly know how to have a wonderful restaurant! They have wonderful cheeseburgers. They have great meal deals every day for $10. A beautiful salad bar filled with beautiful vegetables and a great selection. Their onion rings are cooked perfection and always will make you smile. Their fresh cut selection of meat is top quality and it is wonderful.

8/21/25 80 on last health inspection due to improperly stored food. Raw beef was stored over other items in walk-in cooler . Always like this restaurant but if they’re gonna handle food this way I’ll think twice before I go again 8/23/24 another good lunch! Back today 5/25/2023 as always everything was good. Kay was very knowledgeable of the menu, excellent server and very nice making the meal more enjoyable. Everything was very good. Friendly staff and good service very clean restaurant.

My husband and I stopped in last Friday. The waitress was very polite and the restaurant was clean. I tried their Friday special, Greek Parmesan chicken. It was great! My husband ordered a club sandwich and homemade onion rings,which he enjoyed. They also offer a nice looking salad and soup bar. We will be back.

Watch out. New pricing without any notice to customer. 12.99 chicken with salad bar instead of sides with their new pricing cost me 18.50. Used to be $1.00 to add salad bar instead of sides. Disappointing. Steak was a salt lick.
