It is certainly family friendly, though, which we learned over lunch on a holiday.
Love the outdoor and interior decor – which definitely delivers on European pub style.
Having been in pubs overseas, I think the decor was the end of the vibe – since the loud music and big screens everywhere are more sports bar feel.
The service was great. We arrived about an hour into service and there was already a 20-minute wait to be seated. The front team handled this well, informing us of the (accurate) wait estimate, gathering phone numbers, letting us know we would be notified via phone. No big deal, since there are shops all around and sidewalks to meander until we got our text.
Once seated, we were offered drinks – we went with just water or water with lemon – and given a few minutes to review the colorful and descriptive menu.
Again, the service was great, well-timed, and comfortably attentive.
We started with the artichoke dip, which was more melted cheese, oil, and a touch of dip with thin, warm, soft pita pieces. I didn’t care much for this but the young people with me enjoyed it.
The second small plate to share was more to my liking, as they have these warm, soft, salty pretzels with two dip options. Now these were true pub cuisine!
The three guests at our table selected a burger with onion rings, a Shepherd’s Pie, and a fish ‘n chips.
Everything came out hot and on time after our appetizers.
The meat-to-potatoes ratio on the pie was pretty good, the dish was tasty. Small bit of greens and toasted bread came with it and was a nice touch.
The fish and onion rings were heavily battered, and you could smell the grease. The fries were cuts of potato and not greasy. The burger was large and cooked to order.
Again, the young people at the table enjoyed these pub delicacies whereas I wouldn’t have been able to eat fried, greasy items. I say that to warn anyone used to avoiding the heavier foods — this is legit pub food and not made for a tender digestion like some “pubs” cooking for a “healthy” crowd looking for lettuce sandwiches or avocado toasts.
Overall, I gave this spot 4 stars. I took a star for the multiple tv screens and loud music at 1 in the afternoon. I wanted pub, got pub, but with a sports bar mash up.
Nice menu options, lovely decor, great service.
I was staying in the area for work and wanted a spot with good beer and food. Some folks recommended Park Lane, and I am so glad that I followed the advice I was given!
I was greeted at the bar by the bartender, Steven. He was welcoming and after asking me what my beer preferences are (Belgian and Stoudts), he guided me to a Delirium Tremens—perfect.
Next, he recommended the Bangers and Mash with a side salad to start. I agreed and started with the salad with blue cheese dressing. The greens were fresh and of nice variety.
When the entree came, I was please with the presentation of the food and was even happier with the food’s flavor. Even the green beans were aldante!
Last, I was persuaded to try the bread pudding. OMG! Probably the best I’ve had anywhere! My only wish would be for a second scoop of ice cream!
Definitely swing over to Park Lane for a bite and ask for Steven at the bar. You will not be disappointed!
That said, the food was fantastic. The waitress was super friendly and incredibly fast. She even offered to move us, but I didn’t want to inconvenience her.
We ordered the fish and chips and a burger with onion rings, both were excellent. The alcoholic cocktails were wonderful. We started with the pretzels and somehow ended with the brownie and ice cream too.
My husband and I never get a three course meal, but this place was just that good. And it was under $100 without tip?! How?! We will definitely be back.
It feels cozy and tavern-esque despite being set right next to the mall. The interior is comfortably lit, seating is comfy as well. Employees are attentive and friendly, always take a moment to chat, even when it’s busy.
The food is phenomenal, a big fan of the fish and chips (especially when it’s half off on Mondays). Prices are generally pretty fair against portion sizes and most everything is pretty tasty. So far the only average stuff was the chili and the pretzel dippers but, nothing has been bad.
Beer selection is good, love that they have a good selection of actually British/Irish beers.
Definitely a restaurant highlight in the area.
