On the positive side, the service was good—our waitress was attentive throughout the meal. However, the food didn’t quite hit the mark. The chicken in our dishes was flavorless and a bit tough, which made it difficult to eat since no knives were provided. The Pad Thai was particularly underwhelming; it had very few vegetables and lacked spice. We weren’t asked what spice level we preferred, and essentials like duck sauce or salt were missing from the table.
A few other details dampened the experience: the water had a strong chemical or ‘pool water’ taste, and we were surprised that egg rolls weren’t included given the cost of the entrees. Lastly, fortune cookies weren’t provided with the bill but were kept at the front door, which felt a bit awkward as we would have preferred to enjoy them at the table. Given the high price and the quality of the meal, we aren’t sure we would recommend or return.
Solid pad Thai, and the tuna tower is amazing. The shrimp appetizer is so good, I can’t even describe it. Just try it, it’s in the sampler appetizer.
I’ve eaten there more than a dozen times over the last 2 years, and I’ve never gotten bad food or service. Always excellent, every time. Definitely recommend.
Price is okay. Egg rolls were decent but the seasoning was missing. Very fast service and you can tell. Add a tad bit of seasoning and cook the shrimp longer. Maybe it had something to do with the time ordered (2020) but seasoning should be the standard
One of the main things I will say is while the food is so pretty, it tastes extremely mid. By mid, I mean nothing spectacular or even a miss depending on your palate. Besides the fried rice that was awful, everything else had either way too much sugar added or some other seasoning. My family and I ordered in total: the Flat Noodles combo, Pho, Sesame Chicken, and Pad Thai. Out of those dishes only the Pho was enjoyed. The Sesame Chicken and Pad Thai were extremely sweet, not to mention you could not even taste the peanut sauce in the Pad Thai. The Flat Noodles on the other hand tasted what my dog’s breath smelled like. So that was not appetizing at all.
Visual wise the place is nice, while the service seems to be a hit or miss. Ours was a miss for the most part but not horrible.
Final verdict. This place is extremely overpriced for the food quality. I did not leave feeling like I got the quality I paid for. Premium prices were assigned to items that normally are considered basic items at other Asian restaurants. They also do not even show you the price for drinks on their menu or even what you have as options. The price is $2.50 per drink by the way according to the bill.
Considering the town has other better options, I would recommend going to those instead.
