Wow, absolutely amazing. So many wonderful Korean infused pastries to try. Also a nice menu for coffee and hot cocoa and other drinks. You may have to wait a little bit for seating, but it didn’t take long for us to finally be able to sit down and enjoy all of our pastries.

I’ve passed by Paris Baguette in Chinatown so many times and always said “next time.” Well… it finally happened. The second I walk in, the smell hit me. Butter, sugar, baked things everywhere. It’s kind of impossible to ignore. What makes it funny is that it’s a French bakery right in the middle of Chinatown. It just works though. Staff was super nice. Smiling, patient, didn’t feel rushed at all.

I ordered a hot chocolate and the Chocolate Supreme Croissant. Hot chocolate was good. Sweet, comforting, did the job. But the croissant… that was a moment. Round, flaky, crispy on the outside and on the Inside Chocolate custard heaven. Then more chocolate on top. And those little crispy pearls. It’s a lot, in the best way.

Every bite was crunchy, soft, rich, and messy in a good way. Straight-up chocolate overload. I can’t believe this place has been here all this time and I barely noticed. Easily one of the best pastries I’ve ever had. Not even exaggerating.

Well unfortunately I was going to head up north to argyle and Broadway and I was hoping that old Chinatown by cermak and Wentworth would have had Vietnamese rice cake on any of the bakeries. Unfortunately they did not and I was really craving for that. So I chose this one because it was the only bakery that had a sit down. The other bakeries I’d probably have to head back to the car and eat it which I did not want to on the semi cold day. Anyways, the pastries were just meh ok. What the castella de meil cake was similar to eating a Filipino sponge cake called mamon that I could get from Red ribbon for cheaper and then spending almost $4.49. I also ordered some croissant and two fruit pastries one was with blueberry and the other one was a strawberry lemon croissant. It was just okay there is nothing I would do cartwheels for but it wasn’t bad either. Service was pretty quick. Ambience was quite noisy with a lot of the younger crowd in their 20s or 30s if you may say a millennial or a gen z. Otherwise my disappointment is that not just this bakery. But all the other bakeries did not have Vietnamese rice cake I guess cuz it’s Chinatown they used to have it. I would have gone up North but I had to go to Senegalese restaurant in bronzeville and didn’t want to drive so many times after washing my car. Otherwise to me it’s just three stars. Not bad but not super great

OVERALL RATING 6/10
This location is in Chinatown in Chicago. The atmosphere is inviting. The tables, floors, and bathrooms are very clean. As soon as someone gets up from their table, an employee comes and cleans the table. They offer a wide variety of cakes, donuts, and pastries. The music is calming and soothing. The Iced Coffee Latte was not flavorful; very bland. Not able to finish the drink. The pastries are wonderful and fresh.

I recently visited a breakfast restaurant that offered a wide variety of delicious options, and it was an amazing experience. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and had something for everyone, from classic pancakes to unique specialty dishes. The service was excellent—the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great spot to start the day. Every dish we tried was flavorful and satisfying. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast experience. I will definitely be coming back for more!

What an incredible pastry shop!!! Our cashier Justin was polite and efficient and deserving of the optional tip. The atmosphere is vibrant with tons of foot traffic which offers a feeling of excitement. The trays lined with parchment paper and mini tongs make for a sanitary self service establishment. As for the food: The pictures speak for themselves! So deliciously decadent that it is ridiculous!!!!

I had the best Asian mango and coconut cake I’ve ever tasted! It was absolutely adorable, with pieces of fruit throughout. So light and airy! The strawberry croissant and macarons were also delicious. Everything on display looked amazing, and I wanted to try it all! I’ll definitely be back!
