My boyfriend and I stopped by this Paris Baguette on Labor Day morning. We were heading somewhere and this spot was on our route. I’ve been to the Edgewater location before, so I was curious how this one compared.
PARKING
Great parking situation, plenty of spaces in the plaza lot. It wasn’t busy on Labor Day morning, so finding a spot was easy.
ATMOSPHERE
Much smaller than the Edgewater branch. It’s in a strip mall, less crowded, but the space feels cramped compared to larger locations.
SERVICE
Two employees working, a young Asian man who was professional and courteous, and a young Hispanic woman who treated me with disdain from the start.
I ordered the Dubai Matcha drink and she said she couldn’t make it due to missing ingredients. I requested oat milk for my allergy. My boyfriend ordered a Strawberry Matcha Latte. The Asian male was ringing us up, standing right next to her, and immediately corrected her saying she CAN make the drink and has everything needed.
She made my boyfriend’s drink better than mine, though still didn’t give him the requested oat milk either. My boyfriend has years of restaurant experience as chef, waiter and bartender, he knows quality. Seeing how poorly my drink was made, he had it corrected. The male employee remade it properly, proving there were never missing ingredients.
This isn’t isolated. I’m Polish, my boyfriend is light-skinned Hispanic mix, and I’ve noticed this pattern at other Paris Baguette locations & other service facing establishments. I’m tired of it so I’m going to start calling it out more and more.
Male employees treat us respectfully, but female employees, particularly Hispanic women, give us problems. Asian American women stare and give me dirty looks. I get it he’s handsome. I’m not bad looking myself though. And I don’t deserve whatever personal judgments these people have against interracial dating.
People need to leave personal judgments at home. The male employee showed proper professionalism.
OVERALL
Good location with easy parking and less crowds. The male employee deserves recognition for his professionalism. But the inconsistent, seemingly biased service is unacceptable. Management needs to address these attitude issues. Customers shouldn’t deal with employees bringing personal baggage to work. The Dubai Matcha was delicious when made properly. I just wish I could count on consistent service.

Better Food Better Mood
I stop by here whenever I come to HMart. They got a decent variety of pastries. Among the ones I tried, I like the crab meat croquette, and the small soft cheese cake is surprisingly good.
As for their red bean bun and twisted donut, it’s unpleasantly too sweet. I also tried the peanut bread and although it had some of the peanut butter flavor, it was average. It tasted more like simple sugar bread.
It’s pretty expensive considering how small some of the breads are and their weak coffee. Service was good though, there was a young lady with the bleached hair who was very sweet.

I’ve arrived early in the morning several times and the sandwiches or baguettes are never ready. When you ask the person in charge, they always say they’ll arrive in 10–15 minutes, but nothing ever shows up. Even today, it was already past 8:00 a.m. and there was still nothing on display.
They never give you a clear answer or any reliable information. It’s really frustrating, especially for customers who come early expecting fresh breakfast options.
In short, if you plan to have breakfast early between 7:00 and 8:30 a.m. it’s better to go to another Paris Baguette location with better management.

Trying to contact the store today. But they have blocked my number, because I ordered through their app I spent 104 dollars for my birthday cake and desserts for the doordasher to leave my items in another neighborhood in Nutley on my birthday. I was also told by this store. I had to reached out to this store so I would receive a replacement for my order and a dasher would have been provided. So I could received my order free of charge since it was my birthday and they were sorry for the inconvenience… But I have not received my birthday cake and desserts. My number is still blocked from this establishment. I haven’t received a call since or email as of yet from this establishment. They have left me distraught and throughly wasted my time

Bought a chocolate chiffon cake on Thursday early evening to celebrate a birthday on Friday. I kept the cake refrigerated right away until we took it out for the celebration. Before purchasing, I had asked the employee at the store if their cakes were really fresh and not days old as their cakes in the past used to be very dry and seemingly old. The employee ensured me that all cakes were fresh. I took out the cake on Friday only to find that their “fresh” cake had completely molded strawberries on them. The picture isn’t very clear, but the two strawberries have fuzzy white and green mold on it. FUZZY, WHITE, GREEN MOLD. Never going to Paris baguette again. Their cakes are over double the amount they used to be too. Truly disappointing, shows how long they must keep these cakes stashed in, they probably swap the fruits around from cakes that didn’t sell.

Nice stop for a treat & coffee with some small outdoor seating. Fruit tart pastry was delicious. The bf liked his Lobster roll with crab sandwich. Egg salad sandwich was so-so, bread was a little dry.

We LOVED our surprise birthday confetti cake. It tasted delicious and the confetti/chocolate candy center was a huge hit with kids and parents! Joelimarie was absolutely fantastic with her customer service! Thank you, Joelimarie! She helped us customize this cake with the pink frosting and extra piping. All we had to do was add unicorns and candles.

One star is less as they took the macaroon out from the Ganache Chocolate Cake dressing (old pic macaroon) which is something strange!
