Absolutely loved this place! The owner personally took the time to understand our custom cake request and made sure every detail was perfect. They completely nailed it — the cake not only looked stunning but tasted even better than we imagined. It truly exceeded all our expectations.

So grateful we found this gem — highly, highly recommend! ✨

I love visiting Paris Baguette, but this location is truly one-of-a-kind. Right by the river, it has outdoor seating with a beautiful view, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a pastry or coffee while taking in the scenery. Unfortunately, when we visited, it was super busy, and I was a little disappointed by the cleanliness. The trash cans were overflowing with liquid spilling out, the napkin dispensers weren’t refilled, and the bathroom was not well-maintained.

The staff remained friendly and tried to keep up despite the crowd, but the overall experience was slightly marred by the busy, messy environment. This location still has a lot to offer, especially for the riverside view, but I hope they can improve cleanliness during peak hours.

I was on my way back from NY to MA and I stopped at this Paris Baguette for a quick bite here in NJ! The location is very nice as you are along the Hudson River. If you’re looking for a relaxing environment, this is definitely a must stop. This is located in the Edgewater Marketplace with variety of other shops to explore! I would have spent 30 minutes there easily and enjoy the view of Hudson River. So, plan ahead!

The atmosphere of the restaurant was very calm and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and made the experience even better the last time I went there with my family. The variety of tasty pastries and cakes made me excited to try them all. An example was when I tried the Chocoholic Chiffon Cake and it was amazing! It had the perfect amount of sugar, was well-balanced, and felt light to eat! I definitely recommend this place, especially if you are looking for cakes for your family or friends!

My boyfriend and I have visited this Paris Baguette a couple of times now with very different experiences. On a holiday weekend, we got great service and spent over $65 between the both of us. Fresh pastries, great drinks, amazing sandwiches. However, our weekday visit told a completely different story.

PARKING
The parking lot is always packed, but it’s a large enough lot with space to take some steps if necessary.

ATMOSPHERE
From the outside, this place looks rinky dinky, but the inside is mesmerizing. The inside can get quite noisy, almost as if it echoes due to the high ceilings. The outside is lovely Everyone’s respectful of their volume outside on the waterfront, and sitting outside took the cake!

SERVICE
This is where my experience gets mixed. On the holiday weekend, everyone was super efficient and fast. My iced drink was great, and the sandwiches were amazing. The excellent service was from Priti S, who went ABOVE and beyond for my boyfriend and I!

On a weekday, the workers looked lost and overwhelmed. This place is always busy it seems, and they had a hard time managing the flow around 11am. The service I received from Jennifer H was disappointing, though she gave my boyfriend excellent service. He even got a very nice strawberry matcha latte that was better than the weekend one.

My boyfriend and I decided to pay separately, and I was trying to remember to mention my drink order precisely because I’m allergic to whole milk. My boyfriend walked up with me to the cashier, and I said “don’t mind him, we’re paying separately,” then turned to him and apologized for not wording it better. Jennifer H misinterpreted this interaction and treated me poorly afterward. I get it, he’s handsome. I’m amazingly lucky! But that doesn’t excuse behavior or poor service by taking things out of context and judging me based on a small interaction.

She mixed up my sandwich order. I handed her a Caprese Baguette but was charged for a chicken Caesar baguette. My boyfriend was confused because he knows I don’t eat meat as my first meal of the day, and he witnessed my sandwich being given to another customer. When I asked to have my sandwich heated, she put my sandwich in a paper bag after it was done while his went in a box after his was heated. She practically threw mine onto the dirty counter top with no tray. My boyfriend was furious and got me my own tray because she assembled his to leave my stuff out. When she eventually made my order right, she put it in another paper bag with the same dismissive attitude. She also pulled out her phone to text in front of customers, which seems unprofessional.

My boyfriend received excellent service from Jennifer H while I was treated poorly, which was particularly frustrating given that we were both customers deserving equal respect.

The sandwiches really need to be labeled since the Caprese and chicken Caesar baguettes are on different shelves and look completely different.

OVERALL
This Paris Baguette has great potential and a beautiful waterfront location. Priti S provided exceptional service that shows what this establishment can be at its best. However, consistency in service seems to be an issue.

I get overwhelmed easily in busy environments and sometimes struggle with communication, and I’m working to get better 1% every day. Everyone deserves the same level of service regardless.

Service ultimately comes down to establishments putting the right people in place as well. I hope the management addresses these service inconsistencies so all customers can enjoy the wonderful food and atmosphere this place has to offer.

I also don’t want to attack Jennifer H. Maybe she was having an off day or maybe she was new. Maybe I read it wrong, but even my boyfriend was put off by her behavior and told me I should write a review.

I was initially excited about this location opening, but it’s quickly become overcrowded due to rising unemployment and a surge in residential transfers to NJ. What could’ve been a great addition to the neighborhood now feels chaotic and messy. On a random cloudy Wednesday around noon, two employees struggled to handle basic coffee orders one was struggling making and warming the food the other distracted by her phone and failed to comand the attention of an otherwise thick airheaded customer on their phone whom kept walking away is if he magically paid, thus slowing everything down, making the experience frustrating. The atmosphere is tense — with short-temp timid staff and equally irritable customers. It’s nothing like the Manhattan locations, where the teams are efficient, friendly, and know how to run a simple café counter.

Yesterday I was celebrating my sister’s birthday and I was having trouble deciding what cake to bring for her. Wonderful staff of Paris Baguette suggested their latest seasonal cake “Cookie Butter Layer Biscoff”. It was delicious and we will definitely come back for more.

A Spectacular Addition to Edgewater! Views, Vibes, and V-Good Pastries!
Review:
“What a fantastic new spot! My partner and I spent a wonderful afternoon here and were thoroughly impressed. The location is an absolute 10/10, situated right on the Hudson River. The outdoor patio offers breathtaking, unobstructed views of the Manhattan skyline, and even from inside, the large windows ensure you don’t miss out.
The interior itself is bright, modern, and surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seating. We were amazed by the vast selection of beautiful pastries, cakes, and savory items—it was hard to choose! They also have an extensive menu of hot and cold coffees and teas. We opted for iced coffees, and they were perfect.
What really made our visit special was the atmosphere. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly from the moment we walked in. For a place that just recently opened, it was bustling with a lively, happy energy. It’s clear the community has embraced it; the space was filled with friendly conversations and people working on laptops, creating a great communal vibe.
Practical points: Parking is a breeze with a large, free lot in the Edgewater Commons shopping center (right by Trader Joe’s), and it’s conveniently located directly across from the SoJo Spa.
This is exactly what the neighborhood needed. With its unbeatable views, delicious offerings, and vibrant atmosphere, this Paris Baguette is a must-visit. We will absolutely be back!
