Very good quality. Everything I have tried was delicious. If you are looking for traditional Tuscan food, well you can’t go wrong. The wild boar with polenta was amazing. Great wine list too. 🙂

Really loved the downstairs basement dining room with vaulted ceilings. The staff though I found quite brusque and the food fine but not exceptional. I guess this is the difference between a restaurant in a highly touristic area over those further away as they feel the custom will come whatever. There are plenty of better places if you want to search them out.

Based on the good reviews we read, we chose Parione as our destination for Christmas Day Lunch 2025, and the reviews did not let us down. I emailed Parione well ahead of time to make sure we could get a table as we knew it would be busy, and requested a table in the cellar. Responses were quick and clear and after filling in a form and giving my details across as a deposit, we were booked in.

On arrival we were greeted by Director Marco with a smile and a “Merry Christmas” and he showed us to our table. Although the cellar wasn’t decorated for Christmas the setting was superb and I highly recommend asking to be seating downstairs.

Giani was our waiter and he deserves a special mention for being polite, knowledgeable and very funny as well. The food that arrived was amazing, easily the best we had whilst visiting Florence. It’s not the cheapest but it was worth every penny. The wine choice is amazing. Giani sat with us afterwards and shared some limoncello, plus introduced us to Grappa – definitely worth a try as well.

If we ever visit Florence again we would definitely return to Parione.

I had the pleasure of finally trying this restaurant and I have to say that during my travels across Italy this was by far the most unforgettable dining experience. Every dish felt like a celebration of Florence’s culinary heritage.

The pastas were extraordinary, silky, perfectly al dente, and coated in sauces so rich and layered that every bite felt like pure comfort and elegance combined. The freshness of the ingredients was evident, from the vibrant tomatoes to the fragrant herbs, creating flavors that lingered long after the plate was empty.

The Florentine style steak was truly the star of the evening. Cooked over an open flame, it arrived with a beautiful char on the outside and a tender, juicy center that melted in every bite. It was bold, rustic, and deeply satisfying, the kind of dish that makes you fall in love with Florentine cuisine all over again.

Dessert was the perfect finale, decadent yet refined. From velvety tiramisù to delicate pastries, each sweet bite reminded me why Italian desserts are world famous.

As incredible as the food was, what truly makes this restaurant an absolute jewel is the hospitality. The owner personally checks on the tables, making sure every guest feels at home, and the staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. Their presence transforms the restaurant from just a dining spot into an experience that feels like Florence itself, vibrant, warm, and unforgettable.

Wonderful meal here with outstanding service. Our server made excellent recommendations! We are planning bistecca for the following night and we had wild boar the previous night, otherwise may have ordered that. We also split a slice of cheesecake, which was divine.
I highly recommend Parione when in Florence!

Food was incredible, we had the gnocchi with black truffle and tagiatelle with wild boar ragu, and an amazing cheesecake to finish. Excellent quality of food, oustanding service, and very friendly staff. All the customers were locals, which says a lot. Highly recommended.

Hands down our favorite restaurant from our trip to Italy! We were in Florence for 2 nights and went to Parione both because it was so good. We had the Florentine steak, Pici, Gnocchi and Marcheroncetti. They were all excellent. If you can, request the wine cellar. It’s a very cool experience. The service was great and they had a large wine selection.

Amazing place: first of all the owner and staff are very nice, then the atmosphere is immaculate, very intimate and elevated, just asked when booking to have dinner on the wine cellar. Regarding the food, it’s simply delicious. We would recommend the meat chiana (the only dish for 2 in the menu) a Florence specialty, rare, served with potatoes.
They also have a qualitative wine list and not everything is on the menu, so just ask the staff (including digestives).
