Another Filipino food truck worth visiting and enjoying their home cooked dishes. Tucked in the Aloha food carts they served really good and delish meals, kare kare was flavorful and the pork was crispy. Palabok was savory while their halo halo had plenty of ingredients. Highly recommended to visit and try their meals, you’ll leave happy.

There is a covered dining spot right in the middle of the pods where you can enjoy the food.

A few other reviews mention this, but their business hours on Google Maps are very unreliable. For what it’s worth, they’re evidently closed on Tuesday afternoons.

After a disappointing experience the first time I returned at the invitation of the owner.
He served me an order of pork belly which was tasty which had a very nice sauce.
He also served me an order of lumpia and I have to say this: those were some of the best lumpia I have ever had in my life they were fantastic. The sweet chili sauce was perfect as a dip for the lumpia. Topped off with some sticky white rice made for a nice meal. Looking forward to returning and trying pansit.

The food is the best! But it’s just that they aren’t open for too long or sometimes they aren’t open

Great authentic Filipino food. The Sisig and Dinuguan were amazing. I would come back for the garlic rice by itself!

Filipino food, as if my tito or tita (uncle or aunty) made it. Savory, salty, sour, sweet; hitting those key taste receptors. Every family member makes their dishes differently, but Pares PDX Express is close in replica, possibly from being from a similar region to my family members.

The kare kare stew’s flavor’s that I ordered are a medley of peanuts, annatto powder, and a thickner, such as ground rice that’s been toasted. Topped with gulay (vegetables) and lechon kewali (fried pork belly).

Masarap (delicious) and I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu, to transport me back to my childhood, to refamiliarize myself with the bites of joy I had experienced, as when recreating these dishes myself, they are missing a key component ~ ancestral whispers.

Google maps says you’re open. You are not. Update your hours instead of me driving over an hour away!
