Open since 2016 this is one of my favorite French dining options in all of San Diego and perhaps one of my favorite dining options in general as well. Every time I come it is consistently delicious and I am very happy to hear that it they are opening a second location very close to my family‘s house in Rancho Santa Fe so now North County will be covered as well. Inside is very large and designed beautifully and is the sort of place you want to stay a while or take a date that you care about. It’s a bit upscale, but the pricing is not too much. I would say business casual, but it really is a great date option. Our server was extremely polite and as always everything that we ordered came out very fast. Parking in Banker’s Hill is extremely easy. We were able to find a street spot two blocks away and that’s usually the case when I come here.

For this visit, I started off with the Wagyu Beef Tartare and absolutely loved it. It had great flavor and everything about it was just wonderful. For my entrée I chose the Boeuf Bourguignon and that too was delicious. It had some really deep rich flavors and every part of it was just made very well. I was a huge fan of it and would highly recommend. Overall, I really love this place and would suggest to anyone in San Diego or visiting.

My cousin in law always raves about French food. We were in San Diego for his birthday and we decided to bring him to a French restaurant. This place did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was delicious.

For appetizers we got oysters, escargot, french onion soup and the charcuterie board.
It was my boyfriend’s first time trying escargot and he fell in love with it. He said that dish was the highlight of his dinner.

For entrees:
Cousin in law got the Boeuf Bourguignon
Boyfriend got the Lobster Risotto
My cousin and I shared one of the specials which was steak (i forgot which cut) with variety of veggies

All 3 were soooo good. We even tried each others’ dishes and the dishes intertwined with each other so deliciously.

We were so full but we had to try dessert. We got the dark chocolate marquise and the creme brulee. Both so very yummy, it’ll be a must order next time we come back for sure.

We sat on the patio and it was dim out there so I had to use my flash for the photos. The photos do not do the food justice. The food was amazing!

If you’re in San Diego, this is a must stop!

Only giving 5 stars because Danielle (Dani) made the whole experience better. The middle aged man waiter and the bartender were not really nice and snob.

The food was pretty good.
The Tarte Tatin dessert was the best part!

Will go back.

Beautiful place. Would be great to come for an elevated dining experience or some cocktails.

Service was EXCELLENT. Friendly, Attentive and Cohesive experience.

White table Linens, variety of tasty food options.
Pricing was reasonable for the quality.

Will definitely be back for cocktails and dinner separately.

Limited Street parking in the mid-afternoon time when I visited.

I had heard great things about this place, unfortunately I was greatly disappointed. The ingredients in general were subpar. The tartare tasted like “everything” couldn’t taste the meat, the beef bourguignon tasted like béchamel, and nothing else. Everything else was ok but not great. The profiteroles were the worst, dry bread and dried up chocolate that tasted like Hershey’s. Even the ice cream tasted cheap.

Service was outstanding, unfortunately good service is not enough for a place to be worth repeating.

Really charming French restaurant in Bankers hill. The bread and olive tapanade were deliciously salty. The pate was delectable and luscious. French onion soup was on point and rich with flavor. Salmon was rich and inviting. The duck breast was flavorful but a bit chewy. However, the duck leg was tender and savory. They have a great happy hour menu and on a Sunday! Who has happy hour on a Sunday. Looking forward to returning.

The drinks, apps and dessert were delicious, but the entrees were meh. I ordered my steak frites medium well and they were so incredibly tough to cut/chew. My husband ordered his steak medallions medium rare and they tasted nearly raw with a very mushy texture. Overall the service was great and they were very attentive. We will be back, but not for steak.

My fiance’s birthday was last weekend in this weekend for one of her to do was to eat at a French restaurant being that she’s half French and half Egyptian. I always talked about her Grandma’s French cooking. We searched on Google near the location we were at and this place came up.

Made a reservation immediately. Arrived to the location parking wasn’t an issue was seated quickly the vibe was nice the ambiance was awesome the food was good and our server Courtney was the bomb.com!!!

We are fans and definitely will be back again. Bravo

We hosted a company event with 100+ attendees. Planning for months. The food was OUTSTANDING! The drinks flowed smoothly and service could not have been better! Thank you to the owner who personally oversaw the whole event to ensure everything was correct. Highly recommended
