A small, quiet bar and eatery with tons of character. It’s cozy, warm, and has a laid-back charm that instantly makes you feel at home. The food is outstanding, and the staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming. The vibe is relaxed and authentic — the kind of place you want to linger in. The po’boys were hands down some of the best in the city, packed with flavor and perfectly done. A true hidden gem and absolutely worth a visit.

This was a recommendation from someone we met at a drag show and honestly, we are so glad we came here. The bartender (whose name unfortunately) was one of the sweetest people we have encountered. She was kind and patient, and she wanted to help in any way she could. We came towards the end of her shift but we were glad we were able to get service from her. The food was from the restaurant that was attached on the side and seriously, delicious. We had the fried pickles and half of a muffuletta. That half fed 3 of us and still had some leftover. And the prices?? After being in the French Quarter the night before, the prices were so reasonable. It was super refreshing. The late shift bartender, Genevieve, was super sweet and was the one who recommended the Mayfair Lounge. This is going to be a regular stop for us when we are in New Orleans, forsure.

The bartender was a sweetheart, friendly & great to chat with. The food, however was underwhelming. The shrimp po’boy was just ok, the fries were good, the fries with gravy were great but the coleslaw was dry and tasteless and the roast beef po’boy was way too salty. One and done for Parasol’s

Delicious! We went around 5:30 and there were plenty of seats! Great atmosphere and poboys were so good!

Have been searching NOLA for the best po boys and this one is IT! Our group had the firecracker shrimp, debris fries, bbq pulled pork, and the ferdi, all fully dressed! Man it did not disappoint. Tasty, fresh, mouth watering in each bite. Just remember to grab extra napkins because these sandwiches are a delightful mess!

This is the perfect locals’ hangout in the Garden District. It’s got that laid-back dive bar feel that makes you want to kick back and stay a while. The outdoor seating is awesome, and it’s dog friendly, so bring your pup along. The people here are super chill and friendly, making it easy to strike up a conversation or just relax with a drink. If you’re looking for a no-frills spot with good vibes and cool folks, this is definitely the place to check out.

Parasol’s felt like a true old-school neighborhood gem in New Orleans. The vibe was laid-back and unpolished in the best way — the kind of place where locals gather and the focus is all about the food.

I ordered a roast beef po’ boy, and it absolutely delivered. Messy, flavorful, and packed with rich gravy, it was everything I hoped for. The bread had that perfect soft-but-structured texture that holds it all together.

Overall, Parasol’s is simple, authentic, and full of character — a must-visit if you want a classic New Orleans po’ boy experience without any frills.

This is a hidden gem! The food here is as good as any fancy place in Nola. Head past the bar upstairs to the diner and be ready for some delicious eats. Defiantly go for something with the “gravy”. But the pulled pork and firecracker shrimp were also delicious.

The BEST roast beef po-boy in New Orleans. Get yourself a stack of napkins though, you’ll be wearing that sammich.

We went during mardi gras weekend and got seats but the line to order was very slow moving. There was one person assigned to cash orders and also call out the food ready to be picked up from the kitchen. Be prepared to wait an hour for food during busy times. Nice homey atmosphere but actually really loud inside with everyone chatting if you don’t mind it. Still enjoyed the experience but only good if you have time.
