Paramour Coffee is a specialty coffee roasting company 25 years in the making. We are a small family business built on hard work, perseverance, and above all, a profound love of coffee. Owner Jim Hovind trained under the legendary Sal Bonavita and Alfred Peet, founder of Peet’s Coffee. Paramour Coffee is a tribute to these masters. To this day, Sal continues to be a trusted mentor and friend. Alfred passed several years ago, but the question, What would Alfred think? comes up on a daily basis. Our mission is to make gourmet coffee accessible. No pretense or snobbery; just good coffee roasted the way it’s meant to be. We hope you love your coffee as much as we revel in its creation.

Made a trip from Omaha for the weekend and were surprised to find this fabulous coffee shop in a small rural Kansas town. We love to coffer so much, we made a second trip back after attending Mass. We also grabbed to bags of their fresh roasted beans. The coffee and food were absolutely divine. We will be back! Besure to stop by this gem.

Oh, my! It’s been a long time since I loved the taste of black coffee. I’m not just saying this … this is the best coffee, black fresh brewed, that I can remember. The owner is one of the founding member roasters of Peet’s Coffee in San Francisco. Roasts it fresh right here on site. Wow! Was not expecting this.

This will be the greatest coffee house that you will ever enter during your existence on this wonderful planet. They roast their own beans and keep them whole until they grind them just for you to take home. Early sum mornings you can smell the beans roasting and you will drool like a little baby. The food is also beyond amazing. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone even if you’re only going to visit just one time you will be truly Is blessed beyond measure.

I had to drop off my car right across the street for new brakes, so I thought I’d grabbed some breakfast while I waited. I’m glad I did. I ordered a ham and egg breakfast burrito, a small mocha and a canned pineapple coconut drink. Everything was delicious and the service was terrific.Everyone was friendly including some the customers. I will definitely be coming back.

Jim’s coffee is not like any other’s! Once you taste his cup of Joe, no other coffee will ever compare. The staff treats each customer like family, and their made from scratch muffins along with their options on breakfast sandwiches; blows McDonald’s way out of the park. I promise you will find your Paramour at this locally owned coffee establishment. They strive to provide the warmth of love within.

I stopped by here on our way to the Wamego Tulip festival, and I’m glad I did. Jim and his peers at Paramour were kind and welcoming. He shared some coffee tasters with us after we ordered some delicious drinks. I’ll want to stop by here next time I am in the area!

What a gem of a spot! We wanted to grab some coffees on our way out of town after crashing in Wamego for a few hours on a cross country road trip. Such a nice guy that chatted with us about their origins, the town, and the order window they put out front while being shut down during quarantine. Delicious dark roast coffee!

Great place for breakfast food and coffee!! Owner is very knowledgeable and personable. Tight quarters, so you might not get a seat inside, but very welcoming. Highly recommend the steak and onion hand pie!

This place is truly an underrated hidden gem with so much to offer! I do wish they included boba on the menu, but the employee was incredibly friendly, and the prices were reasonable. The space is quite small, so it’s not ideal for large gatherings. Still, it’s a lovely spot worth visiting!
