We were there on our 43rd wedding anniversary in October. Sharon S was our waitress and she was great. Husband ordered the Walleye special and I had the beef tips. Both were very good. Sharon brought out our celebratory piece of key lime pie with a spraying candle that gave us a great laugh. Kudos to Sharon she made our celebration !

If you are in the area and have not checked Parallel 46 yet, you are seriously missing out.

The food is absolutely amazing and I honestly don’t think I’ve had better service anywhere else…ever. The atmosphere is great inside and out, there is plenty of parking and seating for various party sizes, an easy drop off area right by the front door, and you can even reserve a table online to make sure you get a table on busier days.

The Tender Tips (steak bites) with mushrooms and onions were dang near life changing. Get them with the creamy horseradish and house steak sauce and you won’t be disappointed. Seriously…they were so good, I literally came back the next night to get them again!

Sadly, neither portions nor quality matched the price point. We went at approx 8 – 9 PM on a Saturday and it felt like the kitchen had already checked out. Steak ($32) was ordered medium and came very well done, with a crisp to it almost like it was deep fried. The pasta entree ($26) had an overwhelming amount of capers and the chicken was also dry and overcooked. The pasta was supposed to be an entree but came out closer to the size of a side. Also surprised to see grocery store frozen texas toast as the bread.

We didn’t address it at the time because our server seemed to feel bad and ended up not charging us each (+$3) more for the pre-dinner salads we had to order (because they ran out of veggies for a side). We also got 1 free beer.

I was a server / bartender for 10 – 15 years so it takes a lot for me to write a negative review, but I just felt like this place was a cash grab.

It was our first time at Parallel 46. Everything was great. We had the 1/2 rack of ribs and Manhattan steak with salads, wild rice medley and au gratin potatoes. Our server, Cindy, was friendly and prompt. Will go back. We made our reservation easily online for the time we wanted.

Food was great, but with a reservation at 6:30pm we didn’t leave until 8:45pm after grabbing our tab and leaving early since bugs were bad on the patio. 🙁

We noticed service was slammed so we ordered everything at once to hopefully make life a little easier – with 2 people it took us probably 1.5 hour for our meals to arrive.

Ordered the prime rib special with the veggie of the night and the Shrimp entree. Shrimp was great, we were told about an hour after ordering that the special was no longer available. (Which was fine, the food we got instead was good, just felt a bit bamboozled to find out an hour into ordering)

Overall, great food, just maybe sit inside to get priority serving.

A really nice drive last night out to lakes country. And we tried this place. It I think is now called Parallel 46. Science? Is the name based on longitude and latitude? So Google Maps needs update name however there still a large sign out front with Country Inn name. There is a small amount of remodeling construction
too, but for sure the place is open. The property and views from restaurant windows are lovely and it was nice to sit in bar area and watch sun set. The restaurant was extremely busy and service was not quick but extremely friendly and things very clean. People dressed pretty casual like being at the lake. It’s a nicer restaurant though the prices a bit higher but food very good. I liked the homemade mustard sauce and pretzels appetizer. I had a brisket sandwich. The bread too thick for me on sandwich and brisket although supposed to be fatty was overly greasy to me. Thinner bread and some bbq sauce and less mild sharper cheddar would have helped. The potato chips with sandwich and bacon on sandwich really good though. Truly a good selection of wines and desserts. The homemade key lime pie was so yummy. My bf liked his steak and his side salad had plenty of fresh garden vegetables. The place has ambience of a nice boat house or cabin. It’s really laid back and fun place. I would definitely go back again and recommend this place to anyone.

Another culinary delight to choose from in Lakes Country. – LOTS of delicious selections with a variety of prices. – Started out with Bleu Bites ($22) – Decent portion of tender steak bites with bleu cheese and their own steak sauce. – Loved it! – After the app I wanted to go with a little cheaper entree than my usual Tenderloin ($44 on the menu) – So I went with the Parallel French Dip ($19) – Another great choice – Came with a creamy horseradish sauce and tasty au juice to go with it. – I had hashbrowns for the side – crunchy nice sized portion. – Wife did the Halibut special with AuGratin and was pleased with her meal. Only regret was not saving room for dessert, we will be back maybe just for drinks and dessert.

Ambiance/location/etc. are all very nice, no lake views, but nice big patio area in the back and a nice sized events center next door with lots of live music and fun weekend food options. – Seafood boil coming up this weekend. – But maybe call in advance, it says you need reservations for it.

Service was awesome. – Patti did a great job keeping our drinks filled, checked on us just the right frequency from arrival, through order, through food deliver and finally with dessert and check. – Great service can be hard to find these days and Parallel 46 delivered it. – The other tables (servers) around us all seemed very attentive as well.

Give it a try!
