This place used to be one of our go-to spots, but the service has clearly gone downhill. Our last three visits have all been bad.
On February 24, we ordered a pizza and waited 1 hour and 25 minutes in a nearly empty restaurant (only two other tables occupied). Not once did anyone update us or offer an explanation. I didn’t even say anything until we were walking out the door. When I finally asked, the response was simply, “I don’t know, I’m sorry.”
We had our two young kids (5 and 8) with us, and they spent the entire time asking where their food was and saying they were hungry. It completely wasted our evening.
As we were leaving, they suddenly said our pizza was ready. We took it to go — mistake. It was burnt and the wrong pizza.
Two other customers were also waiting over an hour just to pick up orders.
In Kenai, options are already limited, but even with that in mind, this isn’t worth it anymore. We won’t be back.

We went for Valentine’s Day ! Ordered food then received entree no salads first . Waitress said they were being made fresh . ok then she brought bill and we asked about our salads oh those are part of the dinner I forgot I’ll bring them now. Or do u want them to go? What? That’s ridiculous! Can you just discount bill . lol took of 2 dollars each!
That’s a hard no we will never go back…. The food and service isn’t worth it!

Paradisos has Gina down the drain in all aspects. I placed an order for pick up and was told 20 minutes, not a problem. I arrive at the 20 minutes point and was told that my order isn’t done yet, still not a problem. 45 minutes in I was told that they hadn’t even started my order. At this point 3 other people had came and picked up their orders. A total of 55 minutes later I finally received my small pizza and salad. The pizza contained toppings that were not listed and the salad was merely 5 pieces of lettuce with an olive slice. While waiting for my order all of the wait staff were on personal phone calls in the restaurant area and using profane language and yelling.

Almost Perfect! I placed an order for Delivery.
I ordered the Gyro with Fries and the Hostess pick of the Greek Calzone and a 2 litter of Coke. Upon delivery I asked the driver about the soda, the driver explained that it wasn’t on the ticket. Quite disappointing do to the fact that the Soda Pop was the only reason I ordered in the First Place. The driver told me to call, but this review will suffice. Moral of the Story! Ensure the Hostess recitess your order back to you along with the price, before hanging up.

Came to dinner with my family and had a wonderful experience! Our waitress was very polite and so down to earth. It’s October and they have decorated the restaurant with excellent Halloween decorations making it feel like the season. It was so fun to see and they did such a great job! We got halibut bite appetizers which were so yummy. The breading was perfect, not soggy at all! Then we ordered a few dishes of seafood pasta and ooooh my was it mouth watering! Everyone loved their dish and our waitress kept out drinks filled which was nice.

We came in for a late dinner, but they were still pretty busy. They have a very big menu with a wide variety of Italian and Mexican foods. We all ordered different things and everyone thought their food was very good. My Alaskan Cobb salad with smoked salmon could have used a tad more dressing but we were in a hurry so I did not ask for more. It was nice that there was a pitcher of water on the table, and the ambiance was fine. I have just two smallish negatives: The meals are pretty pricey. Second, the service, while prompt, could have been friendlier. We asked about some of the dishes and they didn’t really have much to say other than the fact that “the cooks may not be happy” since we had come in late. And they all seemed just tired and not necessarily happy to be there. Maybe it was a particularly hard day for them all? I’m giving grace and sticking with a four star.

We’ve been in the area for several days and had not found a good seafood restaurant. Fortunately we saw Paradisos. We got a table right away and service was very quick. Our food choices were hot and excellent. I had the chicken Dijon and it was superb. My husband had the steak and it was so tender and good. Too bad we are headed home tomorrow as we could have eaten there again.

While dining options in Kenai are few and far between, please do Yourself a favor and avoid this location if possible until reviews start to show consistent positive experiences as a result of the management and ownership understanding and rectifying their food/service shortfalls.
Was born and raised in Kenai and Paradiso’s was a consistent and beloved dining experience for me and my family for 30+ years. Recently returned for a visit and was so very disappointed to see how far this place has fallen from grace. We ordered 2 Seafood Arrabiatta Pasta’s and a Caesar Salad to go. Got back to our lodge to eat and found that neither of our pasta dishes had any scallops in them, and were effectively half the size of what they once were. Missing protein is a fairly big deal given their online menu from their own website lists the inclusions as Halibut, Shrimp, and Scallops. And at $39 each, I expect the order to include all those items. Then we found the Caesar Salad was sent with absolutely no dressing. Called the restaurant to explain our disappointment and give them an opportunity to make it right in one way or another. Was abruptly put on hold by the hostess and forced to wait for the manager, who took no accountability, claiming “they don’t have scallops and she didn’t make or pack that salad, sorry.” No attempt to address the issue at hand was made, or true apologies extended. Your own Website claims this menu item features scallops, so if you no longer have scallops, you must update that menu listing. In the interim, it’s false advertisement of a menu item and I have to second guess how accurate menu descriptions for everything else truly are. I don’t typically take the time to write reviews, but this manager’s indifference and failure to provide some semblance of proper customer service in the face of clear failures wasn’t something I could let slide. Please work on being better.
