I ordered the Chana Masala which was delicious. I got the spicy spice level which is a 4/5 and thought it was perfect. It could have been a little spicer but I’m too chicken to do 5/5. The price of $13 was fair and the portion size was large.
We came right after the dinner rush. Many tables still had to be cleared of dishes. Besides us there were only a couple other groups there.
5/5 must try for people living in NL!
Paradise Indian Restaurant in North Liberty is an absolute gem! I had the dosa idli combo, and it was absolutely delicious crispy, perfectly spiced, and packed with incredible flavor. Every bite was a delight. The menu has such a great variety, and it’s clear that everything is made with care and authentic ingredients. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone craving amazing Indian food!
I’ve tried a lot of different dishes at different spice levels and the flavors are always perfect for the day. My family loves the street noodle dishes with a mix of low to high spice levels. I like to mix it up. Recently, I got a specialty platter that had a mix of a bunch of different things. I got the vegetarian option and I loved everything on the platter.
The chai was spectacular! I can’t stop thinking about it.
Unfortunately, the food seems to have gone downhill.
They do have vegan options which is awesome.
I so much want to like this place, but the khorma most recently was off. Hope chef just having a bad day!
They also have a grocery section with a good selection of Indian ingredients, which is really convenient if you like to cook at home.
As for the food, I personally don’t love their goat curry—it’s okay but not my favorite. However, their biryanis are excellent. The chicken dum biryanis, in particular, are probably the best I’ve had around here.
Overall, The Paradise is a great option if you want to enjoy flavorful Indian dishes at reasonable prices.
Regarding the food, the Andhra Chicken Curry and Garlic Naan were very good, recommended.
Unfortunately, the Paradise Special Chicken Biryani was a bit of a letdown, and the Chicken 65 topping lacked depth of flavor and contained an excessive amount of artificial food coloring.
Thank you!
