The best Hawaiian food I’ve had on the mainland . I grew up on Oahu as a kid and after moving here there are so many okay Hawaiian food places . The chicken katsu and kalua pork tasted exactly how it did when I was a kid it brought me right back . I will definitely be coming back

Wanted to love this place. Small family owned business. But for the price they don’t give much food. The flavor is good, but I was left still hungry. Ordered the Paradise 1 and a chicken musubi. Both are very expensive and leave you hungry afterwards.

Pretty good Hawaiian BBQ. The ribs were freshly grilled. They smelled and tasted fantastic. The chicken katsu was lightly breaded and very crunchy. The teriyaki chicken was well seasoned and had good flavor. The macaroni salad was well seasoned and surprisingly light.

It was a first visit. Just was in the area looking for something to eat. This was a great choice. The food was delicious. Made fresh. Definitely, you want to try the chicken katsu. Or the pork katsu. The sauce is really good.

the food was average. I have had better Hawaiian food. The flavor wasn’t anything special and the chicken Katsu looked weird from the inside. It’s right in downtown so the location makes it easy. The plates do come with a lot of food, though for $15 it’s a semi big plate. For a day I was hungry and forgot to bring my own lunch to work it served it’s purpose but I don’t I would repeat the food soon. Maybe in a long time, it was just ok.

This place is awesome. I sat next to an old guy in a wheelchair who’s a regular. He said he’s been coming here for years and likes just about everything on the menu. It was fun watching the playful interaction with him and the staff. I loved the food and the atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back.

I came here for lunch twice in one week and had the Paradise #2 Combo. The food here was delicious! The plate comes with Chicken Katau, Marinated Teriyaki Chicken, I think the beef was Kalbi, some Mandoo. It came with Rice, Macaroni salad (surprisingly good), and salad.

My dad got the Paradise #1 combo one day and the Orange Chicken the second day. You really can’t go wrong with the Paradise Combo plates and the Orange chicken was better than most that I run into.

If you’re downtown and need a spot for lunch I’d add this to your list no doubt. Cant wait to try the Yakisoba bowls!

The young lady at the cash was friendly and welcoming.

I got the Paradise special 1, 4 kinds of meat: Kalbi, beef teriyaki, chicken teriyaki and the Meat Jun (thin meat coated in an egg batter). $16.99+tax. It includes rice, a bit of green salad and some macaroni (had too much mayo but otherwise ok).

My favourite was the Kalbi, I actually ordered another half order (1-2 strips of Kalbi cut into 4 pcs). The Kalbi was tender, juicy and smokey, it has just enough char.

The teriyaki meats were so so, and the Meat Jun wasn’t my type but some people may like the egg batter.

They had the chili sauce which wasn’t spicy at all but sweetish. It went perfectly with the meats.

It was a friendly atmosphere, family style which I appreciated.

That was a let down I ordered a loco moco how can.. no brown gravy, the eggs were overcooked plus I also ordered a spam musbi which immediately fell apart with one tiny strip down the middle, I guess I like my musbi full wrapped and not falling apart.

Great casual spot with delicious food incredibly friendly staff. The chicken katsu was fantastic and really loved the macaroni salad. Also if you love fresh kimchi, I’d definitely recommend getting it
