This might be the best restaurant find in years. I love looking for small local restaurants in my travels, and Pappy’s Place has restored my faith in local food!
I finally found some pulled pork that wasn’t cooked on a pellet grill or in a crock pot. It had an amazing bark on it, was moist, and full of flavor! The Heart Attack Burger can only be described as an adventure. The hand breaded chicken tenders were full of flavor, tender, juicy, and probably the best chicken I’ve had in a long time.
It’s small, not much seating, but will leave a huge impact on you!

My Wife and I we’re here last week. We are new to the area. We chatted with the owners, just good down to earth nice people. I had a Killer burger, real onion rings/fries. My wife had the Country Fried steak, sweet potato casserole, and mac n cheese. Also perfection. Excellent “real” food. We will definitely be back. Also don’t miss out on the homemade ice cream.

My husband and I visited this cute little restaurant yesterday. We just happened to find it, and what an amazing find.!! The place is owned by Andrea and her husband “Pappy”- such nice folks! The food was super flavorful, presented nicely, and you can tell it’s made with lots of love. Best pulled pork sandwich Ive ever had! We also enjoyed the banana split with homemade ice cream WOOOW!!! Highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back…. Yes, we’ll make the 1 hr drive just to come here- it’s that good.

Not only is the food some of the best I’ve ever had, the friendliness, warmth, and welcoming atmosphere just absolutely enraptured me. I felt like a part of a family as soon as I walked in the doors. Miss Andrea sat me down and talked with me about my life and my day, which just completely made the terrible day I was having completely null and void. Read some reviews on burgers when I was in the area. Found Pappy’s and PAPPY’s did NOT disappoint!! Burger was cooked just right and was huge! The fries were fresh hand cut, and cooked golden brown! This burger made my top 3!! Give it a try!!

The food was tasty, the fries and onion rings were a little oily for our preference bud very flavorful. The burger was delicious and the Buffalo chicken fries were ad well. The ice cream appealed to be home-made. This will be a new go-to for us when we are in town.

We had the jalapeño poppers, bacon cheeseburger and chef salad. Everything was amazing! We thought we were too full for dessert, but couldn’t resist. Their food, service and family atmosphere make this a hidden gem. We would give them 100 stars if we could. We will be regulars here!
