First stop to Pappy’s and my guest chose to sit in the bar area for lunch since they had TVs to watch a live sporting event. Bar area was pretty dark and had the feel of a VFW club. On the opposite side noticed the cafe area was much lighter and had a school lunch room look with spacing of tables and chairs. Had their hot beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and it was very good. Huge helping where the beef must have been stacked at least three inches high! Comfort food at its finest. My guest enjoyed his all meat skillet and commented about the size and taste being positive as well. Shared parking spaces with other businesses in the strip mall area so at times finding a space might be a challenge. Full menu with breakfast, lunch and dinner options and all reasonably priced. If you want good, homestyle cooking and can sacrifice ambiance Pappy’s would be a good place to visit.

This was a first time visit for our family. We were here on a Friday evening for dinner. The service was friendly but slow. Two servers working on the cafe side with the cafe half full. It took about 45 min for us to order and get our food. In general, the food was okay, not too flavorful. The exception was the 10oz. Steak. It was as hard and chewy as a car tire with no flavor. My wife gave up and just stopped trying to eat it. The most annoying part of the experience was the significant number of flies that kept swarming us and our food. I’m not exaggerating. Just at our table alone, we consistently had 2-3 flies swarming us and our food. It was non stop. I watched other diners continuously swat away flies as well. I take writing reviews seriously and don’t believe in trolling. Please take a look at my other reviews to see that it’s nothing personal here. I just can’t recommend Pappy’s.

This was our go to place for eating in or ordering out.but it has gone to hell in the last 6 months. We would arrive and order out so you would expect it to be made fresh”””. The food is subpar. 2 months ago, we had an issue with the walleye. We requested it fried. We got it breaded. We complained and it was such poor customer service! This picture was tonight. 2 piece chicken meals. Way way over cooked under the lights. Our house is very close by but it was nasty and cold. One picture is holding a little piece of nothing. Between 3 meals – $50. There so many places in Andover area better. Not a penny more

Ordered the Pork Chop Dinner and received garbage. The pork chops had absolutely no flavor and were perhaps the tiniest cuts I have ever seen. Along with this you get 1 potato choice, a vegetable they pick and your choice of soup or salad. I chose fries and they arrived so undercooked they were still white. The vegetable is green beans that somehow have less flavor then the water they were boiled in. The soup was OK but came in a bowl so small you would mistake it for a shot glass. With this and a glass of milk(the most favorable part of the meal) my total was almost $20.

I went to the cafe side with my kids and mom not long ago. The service was great, the food was excellent and it was a very relaxed atmosphere. I do believe the owner stopped by with a couple quarters for my little ones to put in their vending machines.

I can’t believe it took me so long to try this place. It’s a true gem! Food is absolutely fantastic and very reasonably priced. Menu has everything from all day breakfast to sandwiches and seafood. Guaranteed to find something you like! Great service and friendly staff too. I just tried this place for the first time a couple months ago and now my husband and I stop in for brunch almost every weekend. If you haven’t tried them, you’re missing out!

Service is always good here. The people while we were all waiting were beyond rude. There was someone making snide comments about the wait. Others were also waiting and it had already taken us 5 minutes to get inside. My nephew is 3 with autism and not many ways to communicate with me that he is upset, hurt, or doesn’t like something. Anyone who walked in I said to step over he has autism. A gentleman asked me to move him and I did regretting it knowing it would disregulate him. After doing so he immediately got upset and we left. I’m NOT sorry for snapping at this gentleman and am thankful to those who went around my nephew. Especially since this is the second place we tried to go to and I was happy my nephew was doing well. Thank you to the staff too for being great and letting him sit there while he was calm ❤️

Nice little cafe atmosphere and amazing food! Waiting for a table is a little weird, you walk in and just wait without putting your name, a server will come over and say “who’s next” and seat the party. I had a Western Skillet and I will definitely be going back to get it again!

The food is really good. The service is good too, though I ordered a chocolate shake and was told the server would have had to make it herself and “didn’t want to” so I was asked to order something else. It was busy and I didn’t want to make a fuss. It should, though, be taken off the menu if there isn’t anyone able/willing to make them.
