Pretty good Bar-B-Que, overall. Was surprised by all the negative feedback, more than half of which was about hours of operation. I’m just glad it was open when I came through. I have seen this place on one of my Texas shows, either Day-Tripper or bucket-list, so I have been wanting to try it. The ribs and the brisket were really good. Sausage had good flavor, although somewhat crumbly. The sides were good. The lighting was too dim, but the decor was very interesting. If you are in the area, I would recommend stopping at Pappy’s.

Barely made, they sold out! It was really good brisket. Got lucky they still had some. I recommend order ahead of time or get here early.

It’s been a while I’ve eaten here but, still good food. The only reason I didn’t put 5 stars was because the brisket was a bit cold. Not a big deal. I always get the 4 meat plate as shown on the picture. It’s a little over $20. Work is slow so, don’t stop as much as I used too. You have to try it for yourself. Sure you’ll like it too.

I had the sausage and brisket, which was great. The brisket was super tender and not dry at all. The sausage had great flavor and spice. I definitely recommend Pappy’s BBQ!

I was leaving a gas plant in the middle nowhere heading to Kermit, which meant I was going to be driving through Monahans. With an empty belly and a powerful craving for BBQ, I knew where I was headed for lunch. I walked in, excited and starving, ordered the three meat plate. Lean brisket, pork rib, chicken breast, and sausage with some green beans. Their desserts and cornbread are amazing btw but I didn’t get anything this time. The smoke rings in the meat were beautiful. Everything was delicious and tender. Great flavors, friendly service, clean dining area!!

Traveling thru Texas, I pulled up brisket near me, and Pappy’s popped up. Trust me, I got the one meat small plate and had plenty to eat. Brisket was smoked perfect and had great flavor. I love the fact that the BBQ sauce was on the side. Meat was tender, melt in your mouth, and spoke for itself. No sauce is needed. If in the area you will not be disappointed.

Brisket on point. Service good. Had to wait for ice for our drinks. Sausage on point. Not bad for West Texas. Ribs not so good. Dry rub was way off.
