Came in with a group of 30 from work. Service was good, food was good and came out fast. Prices seemed to be like all the other BBQ places in the area. I am a sauce guy, love the honey and sweet bbq sauce. I will come in with my family next time. I had the brisket mac and cheese. Great local mom and pop place. Recommend.

This BBQ spot is LEGIT!!! During my first visit, I really struggled to pick from the menu. I really wanted to try the Burnt Ends and the Brisket Grilled Cheese, and I was there on a Friday which offered the Baby Back Ribs special. After discussing with the server, I decided to go with the half-rack entree with cornbread and Mac and Cheese. I was glad I did!! The ribs were amazing – good smoke flavor, incredibly tender on the inside and a nice crisp on the outside. Well done, Pappy’s!! The mac and cheese was tasty as well, and the corn bread really impressed me! I will definitely be back, and the challenge will be deviating from something I loved (the baby back ribs) and trying burnt ends and brisket grilled cheese! Pappy’s also serves domestic and craft beers, and I enjoyed the Wango Tango from local Terre Haute Brewing – the perfect compliment to this meal! Service was speedy and friendly – overall a wonderful dining experience that I will be repeating

We have been once before years ago, but decided to stop in tonight before a show. The food was great! We had pulled pork, chicken, and brisket. We tried the smash burger and Mac and cheese, cornbread and chips and queso. Needless to say we are taking a lot home for lunch tomorrow. The peanut butter pie was one of the best I have had. Unfortunately I didn’t catch the young waitresses name but she was great also! 10/10 recommend!

We were terribly disappointed with our meals. I ordered the pulled chicken dinner. It was tasteless and dry and chewy. I do not use sauce on bbq, good bbq does not need sauce to be able to taste or chew it. My son ordered the Barnyard Trio and the brisket was dry, he only got a small few bites of pork, and the rest was the nasty chicken. It appeared to us that the chicken had sat in steam table pans all day and was just plain dried up. Microwaving bbq can be done, but this was absolutely the most awful food we’ve ever had at a bbq restaurant and we have had bbq all over this country including Texas. Oh did I tell you my son worked at a local bbq here too? So he knows bbq.
I can say the baked beans were awesome.
Our friend (whose idea it was to go there), got the pork dinner. She seemed satisfied. The other couple we were with left most of their food behind. I did not say anything when we were there because we didn’t know the other couple and quite honestly I didn’t want to make my friend feel bad for a restaurant decision she made. She was ok with her meal, but she drowns her meat in sauce. Yuck.
Anyway. On a scale of 1-10 I give a 1 on food.
Our server was pretty darn good.
All in all it was a wasted $56.68.
I would go to Churches chicken just down the street.

Such a great find! We were on a long road trip & my mother in law found this place while searching & we went out of our way to try it. Highly recommended! The staff was so friendly & polite. Our waitress was quick & efficient. I’d say she went above & beyond her requirements for us. The food was reasonably priced & you got your money’s worth! It was delicious! Sad that it’s so far away but would recommend to anyone out that way! Our favorite thing was the bacon jalapeno poppers, so good!

I visited this place for the first time last week, and it was nothing short of outstanding. The meats were cooked to perfection, and all the BBQ sauces are made in house and are delicious too. I liked this place so much, I returned the next night to eat there again.

Very nice BBQ stop as we crossed the country. Ribs were very good and the burnt ends were very good too. We had lots of leftovers to heat up at the next hotel. The cornbread was huge and not too sweet. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. I can see why this place is so popular.

What a cool place. We made the trip a few hours to try it out. Best ribs I have ever had.
Sides are amazing and sweet tea this good is a rarity in this area.
Rated best ribs in the country and there’s a reason!

We were really disappointed with our lunch. We ordered a farm yard trio, brisket, salad and fried pickles. The brisket and corn bread were dry and bland. The Mac n cheese and salad just tasted like water, no flavor. Yuck.
We ordered a root beer float to go and the waitress brought it to us covered in soda. From the lid, all down the cup had soda spilled all over it. She didn’t even bother to wipe it off. We spent $80 for this meal. Disappointed that we spent our hard earned money here.

So, my family and I stopped in here after a friend recommended it to me. If you are in Brazil, I would recommend this place too, because it did not disappoint.
They have their own choices of BBQ: spicy, honey, sweet, original Pappy. My favorite was was the sweet with the honey as my #2.
I loved the cheesy tators and I went with the hickory chicken sandwich.
Portion sizes were decent. Everyone with me had something positive to say about their choices. Prices seemed fair.
I haven’t ate my pie yet, so I’m holding out on that last star. Our service was top notch, as our waitress could give us recommendations and let us know what was popular.
If you’re a sweet tea drinker, theirs was excellent–better than Mcalister’s, notch below Grandma’s…. not that I think anyone can beat that.
Covid precautions: they have pick up orders separate area from dining area for less exposure, which I thought was interesting.
