Tonight… I tried something different. I always get the pull pork or a cheeseburger, but tonight I got the rib plate. It was absolutely wonderful. I thought I probably would have 1 rib left over, but once I started eating them that was not going to happen. The ribs, baked beans and cole slaw were all wonderful. Dwayne and his staff are really putting out some great food and very polite and professional service. 5 Stars for Pappy’s. I will be returning very soon.

The restaurant area was neat and clean. The young lady behind the counter was professional and polite. We went before 5pm believing all the food would be hot and fresh. We ordered the rib & chicken combo to go. We thought we were getting ribs and the bbq chicken. We received end pieces of the ribs and chicken wings. They were very dry and it was almost like eating jerky. The sides were alright. We had cole slaw, green beans, potato salad, and Mac &cheese. I liked the potato salad and green beans the better of the four. They were true to the southern ways to sweet tea and lemonade. Maybe, down the road, we’ll give it another try, but go earlier in the day in hopes of not having dry and end piece portions that cost $40 and a tip. I was very disappointed especially after looking at other photo reviews before eating from here.

I came in to get food. The person taking the order was cool. I specifically asked for fresh food. The woman fixed the plate intentionally gave out old food. When I addressed the issue she just sat there and said they cut the meat in the morning- so you know the food will dry out. She did not try to accommodate or try to resolve the issue.
I asked for a manager and she was glad to say the manager is not here. My husband received fresh meat.
Poor customer service, if you want fresh food you gotta get here when it opens. I don’t recommend this place unless this is a last resort and then be cautious.

The Best BBQ I have had lately. I ordered the chicken plate (1/2 chicken) with fried okra and potato salad. The chicken was so flavorful didn’t need the sauce and juicy. I couldn’t stop eating……

Amazing. Food was delicious. Tender, sweet and savory. I don’t usually care for most places biscuits. I took my husband’s even. Portion size was big enough he was full and he’s a bigger guy. Everything is fresh. The Greens. Yes. I got 2 of the helpings for the sides. I loved it. All of it. It will be put on the return when I want good bbq and am in town.

The first thing is the price.I spent $ 20 for this meal. Sausage very cheap taste like bologna and baked beans SMH taste like pork and beans. Ribs are very good but so small couldn’t barely get meat off of them. But the workers are very nice.

Never had a bad meal here. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is always fresh. My personal favorite is the smoked wings. There were 2 things that kept me from giving it 5 stars.
1. They don’t open until 8, so don’t plan to pick up breakfast on the way to work.
2. Limited seating. If they had their own location, this would be a great place to take a group. As it is, the seating area is almost non existent, aside from a few outside tables.
Over all, a great, fast place to get real food.
