I went through the drive through and my order was messed up, a little confusion at the window but once I went into the store Sarah really, really made me feel welcomed and appreciated. Almost gave up on Pappa’s but again Sarah was the saving grace for me. Way to go Sarah!!! and Great job Pappa’s for hiring her.

Today is 11/20/25& my issue was never attended to.
Imagine just wanting some good old bbq. I wait 30 minutes at curbside for my food, never came so I go INSIDE to get my food and had to wait in line for an additional 10 minutes. Imagine spending $45 on a pan of cold food, & not having time to wait for a remake. Just sad!!!!

I spend too much money going the Pappas franchise to be as disappointed as I was today. Ive been to this location on Crosstimbers different times and it always seems to be something wrong each time. I dont like being angry or dissatisfied especially with food. So sending it back would not have been an option. But this time I felt I needed to address it. I will never be back to this location. I requested the moist side of brisket and it was dried out and hard on the bark. And yes i know the difference between the lean side and moist side. The ribs also was tough and chewy. I had the taste for BBQ because i just bought wings and ribs from the Hafer 1960 area on saturday. Being served that meat felt like no one is there checking for quality, only for sales. I hope someone takes this seriously. I started eating while driving and was instantly disappointed. Traffic was heavy, I had a long day at work and was hungry and wanted to get home. I wasnt turning around so I forced down half of it and threw the rest away.

Just got back from ordering a value pack. Had ordered brisket and pulled pork and then a pound of sausage on the side. Get home and they gave us the pound of sausage, but in the value pack they gave us brisket and more sausage. Pretty disappointed to have so much sausage after having our original order online canceled 20 min before pickup due to them running out of mac and cheese and then having to reorder and have our food delayed even more.

Listen, if I could give -1 star, I would. I love Papas. I normally go to the one on the SW side. But I happened to be in the heights today. I order 1/2lb of brisket. When I say this is the smallest serving ive ever seen in my life! There is no way this is 1/2lb!!! I spent 22$ on this little portion! Highly upset!!! The only good thing about this ordeal, the black girl at the window was sooooo pretty and nice!! Never will I ever be returning to this location. Hell I think it might’ve ruined the whole chain for me. Ridiculous.

Overall I have had slightly better locations but still good stuff. My brisket was a tad bit drier than I had hoped but good sides and bbq additions.

It’s ok. I only had the brisket. It was cooked well enough but was missing something. The Bar B Que sauce was kinda sweet. Not really my favorite. My parents like it though. I need some more visits to get a true honest opinion.

While Pappas is not the best barbecue in Houston, it is convenient, fast, the food is ok and it is wheelchair accessible. I usually order the Poor Boy Brisket Sandwich with fries. This time I made the mistake of ordering a bacon cheeseburger. I had to wait over 30 minutes to get the burger. It was not good. Since I waited so long, I expected to get a fresh HOT burger with melting cheese, but instead I got a lukewarm burger that was mushy. If you go to Pappas stick to the barbecue, avoid the burgers.
