This was our first time attending this restaurant for lunch/early dinner. I treated my wife for Valentine’s day. The atmosphere and the food were spectacular along with the service. I also want to note the cocktail drinks served here are top notch as well! Our Hostess Michelle was great! We will be coming back! Overall we had a great experience dining here at this establishment. I was super Impressed this evening. I have solicited this particular location for over 10+ yrs. Going here with my husband tonight, just really made my evening. I have not been here in over 7+ yrs, and after reading the reviews before we came, I was really hesitant. When we walked in it was pretty packed, but we were able to secure seating in the bar area right away. Julissa our server, was very polite and accommodating. She took our orders right away, and we got our drinks within 5 mins, placed our order, received our garlic bread within the next 5 mins, and our food within 15mins. The trout with lemon butter sauce was amazing, the red beans n rice was spicy and yummy. This was my husband’s first time, and he was really impressed, as was I. The food, service and “swamp thing” drinks, still has the same flavors, ambience and fast service from 7+ yrs ago. We really enjoyed ourselves. We give a big thank you to Elton and Julissa in the bar area, you guys rock❤️ Thank you for meeting our expectations

I’ve been to other locations, but this was my first experience here. Somehow my father’s Christmas present to his children was to take us to a restaurant he wanted to go to. We traveled from Michigan and Chicago to the burbs. We had reservations and arrived a early but they were able to seat us immediately. The food is somewhat standard but good. Nothing crazy, your usual assortment of fried and grilled seafood, and a couple of Creole-ish dishes. I say that because I lived on the Gulf coast for so long, and I know there’s really no comparison to creole food from Louisiana. You can scroll my other reviews, I know what I’m talking about. It’s a large, busy and boisterous restaurant, which tracks with my previous experiences. We started out with a couple of apps, the crab dip for the table and he got a house salad to start. The crab dip was creamy and delicious. Not too heavy and a good amount of actual crab. Same story with every restaurant that serves something similar, they never give you enough crustini to go with it. We just used the crackers on the table when we ran out of bread. We all ordered different meals for dinner, but didn’t sample each other’s food. I had no complaints with my crispy skin redfish and fried oysters. A little basic in flavor, with only a creole mustard sauce lightly applied. I wasn’t looking for anything heavy and everything was well cooked. I even enjoyed the greens. We didn’t talk much after the food arrived so I’ll take that as everyone else was satisfied with their meal. I will say there was almost too many french fries with her crab cakes, I don’t think she even touched them. He was happy with his shrimp and loaded potato and the crawfish etouffee was loaded with crawfish. Fairly large portions so no one wanted desert when we were done. Service was pleasant and attentive given how busy it was. The waitress gave us our time to order and came to check on us several times for refills and to see if we were enjoying our meal.

Atmosphere is nice. Service is nice. Food was delicious! Just the trout and crab combo is misleading as you only get a ~ ltablespoon of crab (see photo). The shrimp, squash, fish, and crab were all very, very tasty though and perfectly cooked. Even the little hair that was on the dish was probably perfectly seasoned lol (server offered to have the dish remade but I declined because wasting meat is especially heinous. Didn’t offer a discount though). Did receive dessert on the house for celebrating special occasion. Fried sampler platter (I feel like I couldn’t really taste much of the actual seafood from the overshadowing of the breading personally, but that is the style of this type of dish, I think), garlic bread side, and mozzarella sticks were all nice. Would definitely come back and try more of the menu.

My family and I decided to celebrate my birthday dinner here because it was highly rated. Unfortunately, we had a different experience from the reviews. We were a party of 4 seated at such a small rectangular table with little room. All the tables are bunched together. We had to push our table over to the wall because my chair was hitting another guest at a different table. After being seated for 15 minutes without water or menus we had to flag a worker to get the menus and water. When we were about to leave my family informed me they informed the hostess and made the reservation with a birthday celebration so they were surprised they didn’t do the complimentary desert and birthday song. However, we heard and saw the staff signing happy birthday to another guest when we were leaving. Aside from the horrible service the food is good but nothing special. Bread was bread, it was stale. So I wouldn’t go back or recommend going out of your way to eat here

Omg!!!! From the moment we walked into this place everything was amazing! I’ve been wanting to visit here for so long! The server was very attentive, very knowledgeable and very friendly! He gave great suggestions on the food as I asked him, what he would recommend?
I ordered the shrimp étouffée and a hurricane drink he recommended as well as an espresso martini and for the table alligator bites ! This place was absolutely amazing. I was thinking about the food for an entire week!!

Came here for sister and my birthday. Made reservations and was seated nearly right away of reservations time. Our waitress waitress (can’t remember her name) was attentive and friendly. It can be a little noisy at times and hard to hear. Food was awesome but the dirty rice was on the salty side good but salty.

I just went here for my birthday, and I had a wonderful time! We made reservations, and we’re seated immediately upon arrival. Service was quick and very attentive. Did not have to wait long at all for our food to come. Now the Food was DELICIOUS. The Shrimp and Crawfish Fondeaux was incredible! I got the papadeaux platter and had so much, and it was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend!!!
