San Antonio is known for it’s Tex-mex/Mexican food. I’ve lived here for over 40 years. Papo’s ishas – hands down – some of the best street tacos and quesadillas in the city. My only complaint is I wish they were open more days/hours; I’d be going here all the time.

This is loaded birria fries. They also have Asada, Al Pastor, Pollo/Chicken, picadillo, and more. Be sure to get both sauces as well. The Birria is a brisket style meat that I’ve never had on loaded fries but It’ll be an option from here on out. This plate comes with nachos cheese and mozzarella cheese as well.

Papo’s Tacos is absolutely incredible! The al pastor tacos are hands down the best I’ve ever had—perfectly marinated, juicy, and packed with flavor, with just the right touch of pineapple to balance everything out.
The charro beans are next-level—rich, and hearty with amazing flavor in every bite. They’re the perfect side and honestly could be a meal on their own.

If you are ever in San Antonio, do yourself a favor and visit Papos Tacos! Went there late night and they did not disappoint!!! Great portions did not even finish the whole burrito! I will definitely be recommending to my friends and family! Great tasting food!!
