As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the owner, who was extremely welcoming and kind. The store had a warm, inviting atmosphere with Puerto Rican décor on the walls that made it feel authentic and homey. The menu was extensive, but I decided to go with the bowl—which included rice, beans, my choice of meat, lettuce, and tomatoes—as well as a tripleta sandwich. The flavors were absolutely amazing, rich, and familiar, reminding me of the food I grew up with as a Puerto Rican son. Everything—from the rice and beans to the perfectly cooked meat and tender tripleta—tasted authentic and delicious. After I finished eating, the owner came over to ask what I thought, genuinely appreciated my feedback, and even gave me a free cup! 10/10—this place is a must-visit, and I’ll definitely be coming back as my go-to spot for Puerto Rican food. And again thank you to the owner for the amazing service!

We stopped in for the chopped cheese, I ate my half and the rest of my lady’s. She loved it nearly as much as I did but can never finish her portion. We got a sample of their house made rice, everything was top notch. Made to order, fresh and the staff was friendly as hell. We will absolutely be back.

I am so happy to find this place. Often when I go to a place that is a different culture than mine I don’t feel completely welcome. There were three of the nicest men here who welcomed me. Gave me free samples and made me really comfortable. Imagine my excitement when the food was as great as the staff. My first Puerto Rican sandwich. It will not be my last. The tripleta was so delicious I’m already planning my next trip. I want to try everything on their menu. I highly recommend.

This is the best Puerto Rican restaurant in Massachusetts. I have had their chop cheese its my favorite. The Alcapurria they have is delicious. Everyone at least should try their food once in their life lol. And also, Turkish people! I am turkish and I would definitely recommend their food it will make you feel close to home from far away.

Best sandwiches in town. No debate.

Papi Vivi doesn’t just make sandwiches — they actually put care into everything. The bread is fresh, the meat is seasoned perfectly, and the portions are real. Nothing skimpy, nothing dry, nothing bland.

You can tell they take pride in what they’re serving. Every bite tastes intentional. And the sauce? Game changer. It ties everything together and makes you want to come back the next day.

The energy inside is great too. Friendly staff, fast service, and you can feel that it’s family-driven and built with heart.

If you haven’t tried Papi Vivi yet, you’re missing out. Easily the best sandwiches in the area.

Delicious tostones. We tried the tripleta sandwich so delicious.
The owner knows how to connect with his clients. Every time I bring my little one with me he always gives her a pack of cookies.
He has also offered free samples of the delicious beef. And the empanadas are very delicious

It’s a small inconspicuous place where you would never image getting the quality of food that is in this small quaint place.
It begins with the friendliest hello when you walk in from the owner! Decor is simple and much like you would find in Puerto Rico!
The wonderful scents of Puerto Rican spices permeates your nose and captivate your mouth, stomach and mind wondering what that is there are cooking. Like walking in to my Moms kitchen!

I was instantly brought back to Puerto Rico as I took joy in the simple yet sweet reminders of my beautiful island of Puerto Rico!

I wanted one of everything on the menu as each dish tantalized my appetite!

So we decided on a Tripleta bowl with avocado and a Tripleta sandwich to go. The owner suggested we try the mayo ketchup which I personally am not a fan of that is until I tasted HIS recipe!!! Wow!! Wow wow!! Delicious perfection!

The portions were plenty and the flavors were incredibly delicious…the best flavors of seasonings I have EVER had in my life!!
The mayo ketchup with his special ingredients complimented my tripleta bowl which was already the perfect marriage!
Pure and sheer joy with each bite!! Never disappointing as the chefs fresh herbs and spices were pure perfection!!
My friend’s Tripleta sandwich she said was pure perfection as well!! Moist and full to the max with protein and his special mayo ketchup!
This was and should be a 5 Star restaurant with a reservation of upwards of a 1 year wait list…. it’s that good!! It’s a MUST visit if you’re ANYWHERE in Boston!

Chefs kiss for the food as well as the portions given…my only regret was not ordering a few platters to take home to NYC!

I’m eager to visit again and try yet another incredibly delicious dish or two on the menu and this time with a few appetizers as well!

Thank you PapiVivi for your hospitality and incredibly delicious food!! I’m a HUGE foodie and your place left a lasting impression and I can’t wait to come back!

Super authentic puertorriqueño food- they offer both the traditional, and modern twists on boricua favorites. The tripleta is super tasty. If you get the bowl, make sure to get the yellow rice, because it is insanely flavorful. They also have a great empanada variety too. In closing, it’s always a pleasure picking up takeout from PapiVivi, especially because the employees are so friendly.
