January 2025:
Came here for an early dinner and tried the steak burrito and chips and guacamole . Both were okay. Guacamole had a lot of lime ‍ juice that resulted in a little sourness.

November 2025:
Stopped by for brunch and tried a kale Caesar salad with grilled chicken and the carnitas enchiladas. Both were excellent .

We were asked if we wanted jalapenos and we were charged an extra $1 per dish. Didn’t know they would charge us extra and would have passed on the jalapenos. Wish they would have been more upfront and transparent that it was an extra charge. We actually didn’t eat them because the dishes didn’t need it.

The empty plate photo was my plate after that amazing Asada Quesadilla I just ate omg it was so good. The sauce that the meat was cooked with was really good and complex. Portions are big. Decent prices. Rich Mexican flavors

I understand that location is a factor, but I personally believe that the food is overpriced. More importantly, there’s no alcohol in my margarita.

The mole tamales special was delicious and the service was great! My friends got the fajitas, which I think were a bit average and on the salty side. I’d gladly eat here again

We were walking by and saw a guy eating a massive juicy burrito. So we stopped in for dinner. My partner ordered the Burrito Mojado spanish rice, black beans, pico de gallo, jack cheese, guacamole, sour cream. topped with red or green salsa, melted cheese, sour cream, carnitas. He loved it. I got the Ceviche and it was also great. Service great, the vibe is great too. We will be back.

Second review: Against my better judgment, we gave Papitos another try and this time it was worse. We had a couple of late night burritos and we couldn’t even finish them; they made us both really sick, almost immediately. So disappointing.

First review: I ordered the chicken mole and it was literally just onion filling with some pieces of chicken.
Also the meat from the carnitas tacos was really old and dry

Never again

Very excellent super burrito… had it with steak and it was so juicy and flavorful. The bar is a nice spot to watch the cooks and have a drink. On a rainy night I felt like it was the right place to be- good, quick service and delicious food.

This was a very unique Mexican restaurant located in a very lively area of San Francisco. This restaurant gets special credit for the wonderful atmosphere, the great service, and the location which is hard to beat. The food here is pretty good, and although not the best for this type of restaurant, it was certainly unique and worth the visit.

This restaurant offers a variety of Mexican dishes from tacos, soups, and other dishes, such as tortas and enchiladas. The mole enchiladas were amazing. The trees taco could probably be improved by putting just a little bit less salsa and more meat. And maybe having the potatoes be crispy instead of soaked. Otherwise, all the other items we tried were amazing. The cocktails are also really good. If you come here, you should try the charred jalapeño margarita. They also have a variety of beer on draft and in bottles if you want.

The location here is great. If you can find parking, there’s also a small park within half a block away with plenty of benches to hang out in a coffee shop and other places to get dessert if you want. There’s always something going on in this area so it’s kind of a cool spot to come to if you want to kill a couple hours.

The service was very friendly, fast and efficient. We were able to eat in about 15 minutes after sitting down. The prices are also pretty reasonable. For San Francisco the prices were below what I expected, which is great.

Definitely worth visiting the spot if you’re in the area if youre a fan of Mexican food and cocktails
