Don’t let the “food truck without the wheels” fool you. Seriously, good food! Thursday evening walk along the path led me here. The ambience is just right, Rodrigo was friendly & competent as host and waiter. The fresh made guac was tasty, the chips fresh with the right dusting of salt, and the carnita taco bowl was superb. Add a rich Horchata to drink and you have a feast! You won’t be disappointed

I’m very disappointed. I’ve eaten at Papi’s Tacos on Augusta St several times before, but when my fiancé and I went for dinner on 12/26/25, the condition of the bathrooms was absolutely unacceptable. They were insanely gross, to the point where I couldn’t even use the restroom. Toilet paper on the ground, trash overflowing, toilet absolutely filthy. That alone was enough to ruin the experience and made me seriously question the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. Unfortunately, after that, I won’t be eating here again.

Average place – good tacos and margaritas and decent service. Not great but not bad. I saw a lot of the negative reviews were about the bathrooms – didn’t go so I can’t comment, but the outside seating was clean. Great patio!

Papi Tacos is my favourite taco place. The shrimp tacos are cooked perfectly, everything fresh & super tasty . I also enjoyed the chicken Barbados, it’s very moist & delicious.

Tried to eat here Sunday and arrived at 3:50 p.m. Google says open until 5 p.m. on Sundays, however, doors were locked, lights out and closed. Please update your listing.

Been here many times and exceptional food – love the nachos (best in town, imo) and tacos are fabulous. Service is great, too.

I wasn’t all that impressed. I was in there the other day. The food was okay, service was adequate. I guess being in healthcare it was just ruined when I went to the restroom and it was nasty. I take pride where | work and I’ve at times called out things I’ve seen that I think needs corrected. I would never want to be associated with an issue that wasn’t addressed. After all every type of job or business has expectations. I mean don’t get me wrong being in public service is hard but seriously….some places have those signs of where the bathrooms are checked and cleaned. I felt like I was in a slum gas station.

Family has always gone to the location on the River but went to this nearby location for accessibility considerations. The food and atmosphere were fair but nothing like what we’ve experienced at the River location. Disappointing overall, not ‘bad’ or ‘terrible’ at all. When I return it will be to the river location Papi’s.

A complete delight. Vibrant, brilliant tastes combined with very friendly atmosphere and exceptional service make this a highlight in Downtown Greenville. Try the michalada – you won’t regret it! A+

Our first trip to Papi’s and truthfully, it was just okay. The meat, sliced pork and steak, was dry and not very flavorful. The tacos may very well have been more authentic than I realize, but we are used to big bold flavors, and with some taco heavy-hitters in Greenville, these fell short for us. Also, two out of three of our glasses of water had unwelcome stuff in the glass/water when it was brought out to us. A bright spot was the fish taco. That was very good. And the ground beef wasn’t bad either. Outside dining was very loud and chaotic, with more than a half dozen dogs around, constantly barking at each other, even getting away from an owner once.
