I decided to order Uber Eats on a rainy, cold day. I gleefully awaited some delicious Carne Asado Tacos and a scrumptious Cheese Chicken and Rice. I expected a common Mexican flavor explosion….
What I got was equivalent to going to a Taco Tuesday at your local school’s teachers’ lunch. No seasoning on the asada; no seasoning on the chicken; and worst of all, there was almost no chicken to begin with!!! They told me this place was The Marachi Killer, but I would happily wait an extra 10-20 minutes on Leestown Rd then ever eat Ozempic Arroz con Pollo and Rottweiler Asada tacos ever again
In all seriousness, the food was very bland, and portion sizes for the price (compared to local competitors) are ridiculous.

I ordered the Pollo parilla here and it was absolutely amazing. Grilled chicken breast smothered in a garlicky adobo sauce topped off with onion, poblano peppers and a melted Chihuahua cheese. It was both savory and earthy complimented by the freshness of the peppers and onions which were not overcooked like they are in many establishments. The serving staff was friendly and engaging and very astute with their recommendations. Also the only Mexican restaurant that I’ve been to that offers high end bourbon like pappy and weller 12. They also have multiple large screen TVS making it an ideal place to catch football and basketball games.

I had the chicken steak and shrimp fajita. The food was good but not your typical fajita like most Mexican restaurants. I definitely would not go back. Very overpriced for what the food is. If I can do it over again I wouldn’t have went there

Atmosphere was great. However, we had to find our waiter to start ordering our food and we had a table reserved Feb 20. (Waiter) didn’t know how to split the bill, he didn’t bring us a receipt back and everyone in our party was overcharged on their bills.

I was excited about this restaurants because we live so close but unfortunately my excitement was met with disappointment.
First, the portions are extremely small. You almost need two portions to get full.
Second, the food was just okay. It was actually on the cold side.
Third, I ordered churros for dessert. They were hard as bricks and not fresh.
On a positive note, our server was very nice and personable. Hopefully, things get better.

This was our first time eating here, so we didn’t know what to order. The server and bartender made a couple of suggestions. My wife got the barbacoa street tacos, and I got the carnitas. Now I’ve had carnitas at many of the Mexican restaurants in town, but they’re always bland and dry. Papi’s was far from that. They were very tender and packed with flavor. I was impressed. I will say we will return and this will be our go to spot for Mexican food. We loved the bartender and server that we had. Thank you!

54 dollars for 3 orders of chicken and rice maybe half a chicken breast worth of meat in each..
Also the amount of salsa given with the 3 meals was historically small 3 ppl couldn’t share.. 1000% do not order out maybe if you sat inside it would be better. Will never be going back here

Waited months for Papi’s to open. We finally went and were sadly disappointed. We immediately ordered cheese dip and it was promptly brought out. 15 minutes later we were brought chips and salsa to enjoy with the cheese dip.
The atmosphere was nice, the portions were small, and the food was lackluster. I’m sorry, but I will continue to fight traffic to go to another close Mexican restaurant.
